Best MLB App?

There aren't any that I know of. The Slingplayer app is supposed to be rleeased this summer, so you can watch the games that are on TV for you then. There is the MLB At Bat 2010 that does audio, video highlights after they occur, and condensed games.. but no live video YET. When it was released on the iPhone last season it did not have live video. They added it after about two months of the season. Maybe we will get lucky... a baseball fan can only hope.

at bat 2010.. it is not nearly as good as the iphones version but its tolerable. why we have to pay the same 15 for the app they pay and they get so much more is a f'n ripoff

Do you also have to signup for a MLB gameday plan, or does buying the app get you the audio feeds?

It looks very similar to Sports Tap but sports tap doesnt provide live audio. If the live audio works well, Im OK with spending the $15.

And why is it that the Iphone ver of these apps is always better? :(

live audio works awesome (you can chose from either teams local radio feed) , and you do get video replays after the fact.....

Yes. I thought video came with the app, like the iPhone last year. But the version on my iPad doesn't have video without a $100 subscription.
Ah, yes it does. I watched my Mets last night. It is video for select games only, not for every game. Same for iPad as iPhone last year. I forgot about select games.

Android one is still lagging behind. Come on MLB, give us video.

I was looking at the iPhone app and it said that live video was available to subscribers of MLB TV. Are they buying the app and paying the $99 a year for the video?

Video (live) comes with the 14.99 for the iPhone. The iPad however, costs the 99 bucks.

From what I understood from MLB, Android had limitations on live video which is why it was not yet included. Not sure what they are talking about, but that's what I was told in an email. They said they hoped to offer that next season. But you can't get live video on BlackBerry At Bat either, its the same as Android.

Who knows, maybe they have an exclusive contract with Apple for the live video.

Do they have a list of what the select games are for video?

Really, the audio is most important to me. I'd like to be able to listen to games when I have no radio reception. The audio dropout reports here are scaring me off though.

they all have video if it's on a sports channel. If it's not offered by the regional sports channel on that particular night, it won't be available.

Otherwise, it works just like MLB EI on your cable/satellite TV.

Did it say why you coldnt watch? When I have the MLB subscription on a PC it tells me if I try to watch a game that is blacked out in my region. If its blacked out on your TV its blacked out on the web based on you IP region location.. At least thats what MLB website says.

Of course its an IPAD, so it may require you to sit in a chair made by Apple.
