Cowboys fans petition-----

Although I don't follow the Dallas Cowboys closely, I have to agree that Jerry Jones needs to go. However, I think he is not the only one at fault. I never was a big fan of Tony Romo. He is a good quarterback, but not a great one. Maybe under the right system he can improve and be a top ten quarterback.

IMO, I think it is time to hit the "restart" button after this season. I don't see them doing anything great this year.

Romo has all the physical tools to be great. He doesn't have the mental toughness to go far.

Jerrah Jones Skeletor needs to fire himself as GM. He's worthless.

1. I agree that Jerry should step back and just be an owner, nothing more.

2. The federal government (or any government for that matter) has absolutely no place in sports. They have far more important issues to deal with and deal with far too many things they shouldn't already.

3. Tony Romo is not the problem with the team. If the rest of the team didn't make so many mistakes the whole team wouldn't look so bad and all the blame placed on Romo. But, that is the price of being an NFL quarterback, and more specifically the QB of America's Team.

I'm a 54 year Cowboy fan (was born there so you're one when you come out - my Heroes have always been Cowboys!)

I've suggested a permanent, rotating protest at the entrance to Valley Ranch with signs demanding Jerry hand over the reigns to a football person. But, it's his toy, and he's gonna do with it what he wants.

Tony Romo is as tough as any quarterback in the league! It's hard to believe anyone could think differently. He got his collar bone broken in 2010 from blown blocks. Remember the San Fransisco game 2011? He got a broken rib AND a punctured lung, ahead by 20 points or so, but still came back in the game when the backup threw 2 interceptions and SF got 2 scores! He throws the winning TD in overtime. He doesn't come back in, they lose and he knows it. That SF team went to the NFC Championship game!

If mental toughness is not coming back into the game with a broken rib and punctured lung and throwing the winning touch down in overtime, then I don't know what is. Then the next week he put the entire club on his back to pull out the win against Washington 18-16 - IN EXTREME PAIN! People love to hate on him, for some reason.

He's got as much guts as anyone in the league, playing behind what has been an atrocious offensive line year after year, an unreliable running game and disappearing wide-outs. If he ain't livin' up to people's expectations, put some dependable offensive lineman in front of him and see what happens. You put Tom Brady behind what Dallas has had for a line and he never finishes a season.

It HAS been the team that Jerry built, but Jason Garrett IS turning it around, if he gets the time.:dontknow:

Huge Boys fan here! Have been as long as I remember and will be till, I'm 6ft under, and even then I'll be!
I have to agree Jerry needs to find a football guy to run the day to day and just be an owner!
As far as Romo is concerned.... he's a Top 10 QB! If Jerry knew ANYTHING about NFL football, he gets that man an O-line so he can do his thing!
Jason Garret needs to decide what kind of coach he's gonna be! Stop talking about committing to the run game if ur not gonna do it! Cowboys need to RUN the damn ball! Sure, u have games where u need to pass to catch up or whatever, but run the damn ball. Even if ur only getting a yard or 2, keep the defense honest and Murray will find holes and get chunks! But not if ur not running the ball! Every QB wants a good run game to lessen the pressure on themselves! Tomorrow is no different. You keep throwing the ball, ur gonna try to force a few and that's where things can go wrong. Receivers running the wrong routes or not making that hot route cut in time. It's not all on Romo. But you notice he's man enough to take the blame.
