I'm a 54 year Cowboy fan (was born there so you're one when you come out - my Heroes have always been Cowboys!)
I've suggested a permanent, rotating protest at the entrance to Valley Ranch with signs demanding Jerry hand over the reigns to a football person. But, it's his toy, and he's gonna do with it what he wants.
Tony Romo is as tough as any quarterback in the league! It's hard to believe anyone could think differently. He got his collar bone broken in 2010 from blown blocks. Remember the San Fransisco game 2011? He got a broken rib AND a punctured lung, ahead by 20 points or so, but still came back in the game when the backup threw 2 interceptions and SF got 2 scores! He throws the winning TD in overtime. He doesn't come back in, they lose and he knows it. That SF team went to the NFC Championship game!
If mental toughness is not coming back into the game with a broken rib and punctured lung and throwing the winning touch down in overtime, then I don't know what is. Then the next week he put the entire club on his back to pull out the win against Washington 18-16 - IN EXTREME PAIN! People love to hate on him, for some reason.
He's got as much guts as anyone in the league, playing behind what has been an atrocious offensive line year after year, an unreliable running game and disappearing wide-outs. If he ain't livin' up to people's expectations, put some dependable offensive lineman in front of him and see what happens. You put Tom Brady behind what Dallas has had for a line and he never finishes a season.
It HAS been the team that Jerry built, but Jason Garrett IS turning it around, if he gets the time.:dontknow:
