Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

rom looks great, I'm having a few issues that are probably just me missing something on the phone, I cant get wifi to turn on it stays in a constant state of "turning wi-fi on", i've reset the phone with no luck. Also can anyone tell me how to get the notifications bar back or atleast show up whenever i have a text,missed call, etc. Thanks again guys

(1) Did you flash gapps?
(2) Wipe before flashing?
(3) Sometimes a reboot will fix wifi issues.
(4) If you restored google apps and/or data using titanium, this can cause problems.

First I just wanted to thank g60madman for all the great work you have done- this mod is simply awesome. With Christmas coming I'll have to flash 2.3.7 again as I will need the camera, but I don't know if I can go back after using 4.0!!

I wanted to also let you know I signed the petition and as many others have done tried to contact Motorola directly to get them to release the camea and HDMI source codes. I recieved a reply from Motorola CS giving me the following link and said it would make the camera and HDMI accessable, however I don't know enough about these mods to know if there is actually anything there you can use or if Motorola was just blowing smoke up my arse. If link is useless sorry for wasting your time and thanks for all the great work.

Strange. The link does not even indicate that the Moto tirumph is supported by this program.

The other thing is that this would seem to be closer to rooting the phone. This would not seem to provide anything in terms of ICS hardware drivers. This is what we are missing here for the camera and HDMI.

Maybe I am missing something here?

Did a double take for a second; I read that as "flushing".

Licensing issues can cause an app to FC. Did you buy poweramp using google play? If so, with poweramp uninstalled, does My Apps say that you have purchased poweramp. If not, you will probably want to clear data on the play store and then sign in again.

Haven't purchased it, just using the trial version. I didn't long press the volume button because I was sleeping lol and the music woke me up. Still having issues with the increased MB when I delete cache from all apps.

Did a full wipe and re-flash to the latest version, still getting the browser sync issue I was before. Would it make a difference that I flashed using TWRP instead of CWmod? I am using an application specific password (I have 2 factor turned on). Gmail isn't syncing through the email app automatically (I either have to use the Gmail app or setup a separate account in the email app).

It looks like it might be a known issue with 2-factor though: Issue 23264 - android - Issues with Browser Bookmark Sync with Two-Factor Authentication enabled - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

Edit: I found a work around that worked for me:

1 -- Delete all sync data via the Google Dashboard
2 -- Sign in to Chrome Sync
3 -- During the setup, click Advanced and make sure it only encrypts passwords instead of all data.
4 -- Finish the sync, then attempt to initiate the sync again via your phone.

except jb lockscreen and staus bar (u can use holo jb lockscreen if u dont wanna use the whole GO launcher bullcrap.)
- it does include
jb icon and widget pack
these 2 simple apps create a pretty simple and convincing Jelly Bean

-I emulator rooted my phone
didnt have to flash anything.

-omlything id like to see is
someone make a launcher
that puts 4.1 in the about
phone registry

Could you post some links for examples? I don't know if I can get to it, but if it's easy enough I'll make a build and let you test.

Oh, you mean like tablet mode. I think that was avoided as the phone has the capasitive buttons.

There is no sense to run that as you will loose screen space. However may be worth it due to poor buttons on the Triumph

I'm currently using only "close app" and "recents" in the nav bar, and yes sometimes the buttons doesn't respond but I seem to find that in every rom I've tried, so I'm just thinking its the phone lol.

It's definitely the phone. Sometimes the capacitive buttons stop responding at random. I have found rotating the screen makes them work again most times.

In case you weren't aware, in CM9 you can long press the home key for recent apps and set the long press on back key to kill the app you're on. Obviously not as good as a dedicated button, but that should help you a bit.

I'm having the same issue about the browser but I think its cm9 it self.....since I have a cm10 on my tablet & has the same issue....... also, some of my apps force close.......

This is 80% pointless. I have a beats audio one s. Don't sound different or better. It's a real waste of time and space. With larger roms.... Space is going to be an issue.
