Need help on home screen

So I need some help on the behavior of GN2. Being fairly new to Android, trying to figure this one out.

So I am on my home screen (first screen of 6). If I pull down the notifications to view, finish up there, and then hit my home button...it seems like I should go back to the home screen (first one). But instead, after viewing the notification screen and pressing the home button, mine goes to the 3rd screen...which is set up with a page of picture speed dials. I want it to go back to the home or first screen. Is there a setting for this that I am missing for it to think my 3rd screen is my home button screen?

Thanks for the help ahead of time

From any of the main screens, hit the soft key menu button and select "edit page". From there you can see all your main screens. You can add or remove them based on how many you need and also in the top corner is a little house. You can set which screen is your "home screen"

That was it! Thank you! My little house was set on the 3rd screen with the speed dials and not my "first" screen that I want to be my home. Changed it and the button takes me right there! Awesome, thanks!

Yep I've gotta add a 'thanks' for this post too Droid Ninja! I didn't realise you could edit/add/remove homescreens via Touchwiz and had considered using a 3rd party launcher just to be able to remove two of them, as I don't need 7 homescreens.

The native 'edit page' option is great, just like the option I used to use on Go Launcher Ex on my old Desire! :smokingsomb:

My N2 screen changed after overnight charging and rebooting. It now has the same red background as the Droid DNA - weird because I did not change it.

How do I get the original background back?

Thx

Long press any of the home screens and select "set wallpaper". From there you can change the unlock screen wallpaper or the home screens wallpaper.

Its weird because I returned and exchanged my DNA yesterday for the N2

it was fine until I rebooted? They gave me new sim card also?

Thx

Might be something weird going on with backup assistant? But regardless if it saves your wallpaper from the DNA or not, it should let you set any new one you want. The fact that it does not, tells me there is something amiss.

I went to Verizon today, they showed me how to change wallpaper. Had to go through settings. The Red DNA wallpaper I was told was saved in gmail which caused it to save to my phone.

Pinching *in* on any screen does the same as menu/edit.
When finished hit the back key.
