Are you charging from the wall or from your computer? I noticed that my phone charges at a crawl from my computer.

I highly recommend that everyone download NQ Android booster and use it from time to time. Its free on play store and is quick and easy to open.

It has an app closing feature that saves CPU and battery. It also has a slick battery history monitor. Its easy to use because you just tap it to open and tap it again and it will close unneccesary apps that arent closed.

I plan on stressing the battery today. Sitting at my desk I stream pandora all day and I have the phone plugged in while I do it. Tonight though I am going to a hockey game and out for dinner with friends. My Nexus could barely make it through a long evening without a charge. I am expecting big things when it comes to my Note 2.

Be careful with this. Android is really good about closing apps and keeping memory in check. Free memory isn't always GOOD memory, you want the memory to be used...and it will get freed up as needed.

Unless an app is mad misbehaving and that CPUSpy will keep tabs on runaway apps, then you can manually kill with task manager.

Unnecessarily killing apps just has them auto-restart (unless you're rooted and prevent this) and can end up draining more battery.

I set mine to power saving mode before I drifted off. It seemed to really help. I had a great charge in the morning. I didn't see a difference with the phone being in powersave mode, except that the screen was darker.
Maybe try that?
I used power saver mode the first day. After that I turned it off. Found no need for it. Basically it just puts everything into a paused state until you wake the phone up.

I am also moving away from the "bump charge when I can" mentality that was a necessity with the E4GT. Now I can charge it overnight, which gives me plenty of juice to make it through the day with battery to spare, then charge it once at my desk before I leave work, which gives me enough juice to make it through the night until I go to bed. Before I even got my E4GT, I bought 2 backup batteries on ebay. I haven't gotten around to buying even one backup battery for the Note 2. It's not a pressing need.

Oh yeah, it's been over a month now, and I still haven't heard the low battery warning.

Yesterday I got 14hrs on my first charge. 90% of the time I was on Lte and I was hammering it... brightness about 85% with a little over an hour of using navigation while streaming from Google Music, which is battery murder on any other phone I've had. Screen on time was just a hair over 6hr 15min before it died, and that was starting with 97% charge. So far besides the few features missing on the vzw version I couldn't be happier.

are you using the charger that came with the phone? my charger that comes with the phone is more secure in place than other micro-usb cables that i've used.

I used the original charger which came with the phone, and still it took more than 14 hours for fully charge, but that occurs only for the first 3 or 4 times later it has become faster

Try running the battery down completely (until the phne switches itself off), then charge again. If you still have the same problem then you may have a faulty battery.

Shouldn't take more than 3 hours to fully charge from the wall.
