app to quickly access most used apps/folders?

Im looking for an app which would show some popup window containing apps/folders which I've selected.

The idea is that I could quickly access my most-used apps, and maybe folders, without flicking through many home screens.

Im using the stock A2.1 launcher (on SE x10mp).

any suggestions?

TIA

Couldn't you just create folders on your home screen? I do that to keep all of my news apps, media apps and utility apps together and quickly accessible. Just drag one shortcut over another and the folder is created.

tnx, but home screen on the SE x10mp works differently. I cant create folders.

anyway, Im looking for something I can invoke anytime, something like a popup window which would contain my most used apps/folders.

any other ideas?

TIA

Yes, ssFlicker and Smart Taskbar pop up anytime using small buttons that are always at the side of the screen.

Wave Launcher also pops up any time. It can have multiple folders each containing multiple applications.

"ClutchPad" is another.

. . . in the last couple of days Ive tried ssflicker, but it didnt work smoothly on my x10mp. . .

Very understandable. ssFlicker is very complicated and can appear to behave erratically. Swiping in panels remote to where your finger or stylus touches the screen can be disorienting.

In the case of widgets the "pointer panels" cause the widgets to be displayed on the screen. Selecting a widget in a pointer panel toggles the visibility of the widget on and off on the screen which can appear to be erratic behavior. One of the things this functionality allows you to do is to stack multiple widgets on top of each other on the screen and use the pointer panel to toggle different widgets to the front of the stack.

Or you can toggle a large 2x2 or 2x3 widget off to reveal a *bunch* of widgets underneath. Powerful but can be confusing at first.
