I have not seen my battery life decrease. I went down 10% in standby overnight. I did freeze about 25 apps and was on WiFi. I read somewhere else you can't turn 4G off in ICS. Haven't confirmed this yet though.

Anyone on the share-everything plan that's having problems turning on he hotspot? That's a legitimate call to VZW support if that isn't working.

Yes, dial *#*#4636#*#* and select "phone Information". Then scroll down to the "LTE/CDMA/EvDo", click it and select "CDMA auto (PRL)". Done.

My battery life is about the same as it was on GB (fully tweaked BO). I can get up to about 1.5 days, 1 day if I'm using GPS and Waze heavily. I haven't gotten around to freezing anything, just root and the unlocked bootloader.
I'm on a shared plan, fired up mobile hotspot and uploaded a 250mb test file to my server. It stayed up, but there were moments where it dropped to less than 1lb/sec on the upswing. I think there is something screwy with WiFi stack, imo.
I'm reinstalling Battery Graph now and should be able to post a log in a couple days.

I have rooted ICS OTA but not unlocked bootloader and mobile hotspot is working for me with laptop

What data plan are you on, grand fathered unlimited or shared? Makes a big difference.

i would say it's been fixed. It's working great for me, I'm on my desktop with my spec running eclipse Alpha3 right now. Finally! man i was tired of having to use pdanet.

But they are still working on the errors or something... as my post stated it was successful for me, but I would hate to find out data charges are hitting us because of those errors, or something like that.

Foxfi is not working on the spectrum since the ICS upgrade at all. Follow the link and read what needs to be done - it uses a beta release of Wifi Tether, which requires root.

I just upgraded to the Note 2 & didn't realize FoxFi won't work. :'( Glad to know it's not just my phone though. Hopefully FoxFi will be updated soon with the fix.
