Ok, so here are a few of the things that I've noticed that aren't exactly as they should be, and that I'm accustomed to on Android. I did come from a Razr Maxx so correct me if these options shouldn't be available for touch wiz in the first place. 1. I play the world series of poker application alot, and in the past have always synced it with my fbook, and now when I try that it just kicks me out of the application. There are multiple applications I'm having this issue with as well, can't remember them w/o going back thru the apps and trying again tho. 2. I have kik and when I go to send a pic on there, I take the pic and then choose save, it says saved but then doesn't go to my gallery, nor does it show up in the chat box to send. 3. There is no power option widget on the phone, not sure if I'm missing it or if theres a similar option, the only thing I've noticed is there is something like it in the drop down notification menu, but the main concern of me wanting it is for the brightness control right there on the home screen. 4. When typing in a text message, or any message for instance. There use to be arrows above the keyboard incase you needed to move the cursor around without having to click and then drag the blue icon to the right spot, made it easier imo to get to where you needed to correct your typing mistake. 5. Swype is different, when I want to add a word to the saved dictionary, and I type the word then click it on the part where swype populates the same word or guesses of what you meant, it never confirms that it's saving into the dictionary. Anyone else noticed these things?

I don't have the verizon note but ill try.

1)no idea

2)no idea either........

3)none on my international note either. Many options on play store. Drop Down one missing airplane mode toggle is annoying.

4)changes with different keyboards. Different oems have different ones. SwiftKey is a nice alternative.

5)swype or the Samsung version of it? Cant remember what it is called. I don't have swype on mine but i do notice the lack of confirmation on samsung's.

Xtra Q) no idea...... 3/6 isn't bad though, right?......riiiiight?

This has been driving me nuts. I cuss all the time in my messages and the damn phone isnt saving them to my dictionary. I have asked this question to see if anyone has any idea about this in two different threads... nobody has even mentioned having the issue.

This is the ONLY thing that is driving me nuts. Swype rocked on my Maxx, it is a huge headache on this phone. I cant get a word to save in my dictionary to save my life.

I'm having this issue as well. It's driving me insane. I can say that I have a dirty mouth and I also noticed that my dogs name, "Otto" isn't in the dictionary either, so I added it, but when I go to type it out, it still pre-populates the way it was before and never recognizes the stuff I put into the dictionary.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know, but it's driving me bonkers.

In the settings there should be an option that deals with offensive words, im pretty sure it comes from the factory with the setting turned on so if you want to use bad words and such you have to turn it off. When I use swype (well not the swype keyboard but the default samsung keyboard, which has swype built into it) I swear and use my own lingo all the time and it recognizes it very quickly. I didnt even realize it was putting words into the dictionary but it does. I dont tell it to or do anything other than just swype/type and it puts words into the dictionary. if I use a new word it doesnt know i delete the wrong word that it chose, type in the word I wanted, and boom, its done. every time I swype/type that word again the phone recognizes it.

So you should just swype/type like you normally would and it will automatically put words in your dictionary for you.

Yeah... that is what I was hoping would happen. It isnt... I seriously dont know what is going on... I have tried just about everything... Found the offensive words setting you mentioned... didnt change anything either... it doesnt recognize anything... it says it scanned my facebook friends so it would learn their name... hasnt done that correctly at all either...

Yeah I did the fbook scan too to see if it would learn names and so far, NOPE. On the Maxx(which was my last phone as well), you can type it, then click the word, then in the same area it pops up and ask to save it, this 1 just shows it and you click it and 99% of the time it doesn't add the word to the dictionary. I still miss the directional arrows from the Maxx too!
