Ive had my captivate for about a year and 8 months. About 2 months ago, the power button and the screen started malfunctioning. Ill start with the power button as they are two unrelated items as far as I know.
The title of the post is coincidence and the power button issue is what I was referring to. A while ago, I was using the phone when all of a sudden it stopped working. It took more presses of the button to get it to engage. I realized that the button was in a down position all the time. BUT what was strange is that today I went back on the phone(ive switched phones since) and cleared all my texts, ect. After doing this, the button worked perfectly fine. Before I cleared the texts it was malfunctioning(I mean today), and after.....no problems at all. I was sure it was a physical issue, but could it have been I simply had too much stuff on the phone?
The screen is a different problem all together. That problem is that the search box will randomly open from time to time. While I think this problem is physical as well due to many people having physical screen issues similar to this, It seems to happen often when the phone is loading things. Is this a physical or software issue?
