Unlock your Galaxy Note II

Well, I just tried on my AT&T Note 2. Now I just need to hunt down a Tmob SIM card to see if this worked or not. Are you rooted or still running stock ROM?

Stock, not rooted. I am not sure, but people with custom ROMS had trouble getting their phones unlocked. Rooted people were OK. You can order a prepaid microSIM from T-Mobile for $0.99 plus tax, got mine in 2 days, free ship.

Yeah, I read those with custom ROMs were having issue(s). Ordered a microSIM so we'll see how this goes :) Actually have travel arrangements to Canada soon so this would be SUPER cool if this worked out for me.

Well, I finally received my prepaid T-Mo SIM and.....IT WORKED! I was able to make a call from T-Mo's network and I wasn't prompted for any carrier code or anything like that. I'm on AT&T and using the stock ROM, not rooted

Good to know! I "think" I unlocked my AT&T, but I have nothing to try it out. :p I don't even know why I follow the procedures to unlock it... I am not going anywhere. :p

Resale value my friend....resale value. The prepaid T-Mo SIM only costs $1 so you can order it online just to test it out. It comes preloaded with $3.36 credit on it (pretty weird arbitrary dollar amount but whatev) Or, you can walk into a T-Mobile store and see if you can "borrow" one of their SIMs to test out if the unlock worked for you.
