Root Cestos Revamped - WIP

Hey guys.
Now that I (think I) have the application editing all figured out, I'm going to start doing one of the things I originally wanted to do with it. That is, redoing the graphics for Cestos.

Cestos is a great, great multiplayer game. Go get it from the market now and play it, if you haven't yet.

But I personally shudder at some of the graphics. Blurry fonts, aliasing, and flatness.

So I want to start redoing the graphics in it.

I've started, now bear with me, I've only worked on this for a few minutes this evening, but I wanted to get this project started off.

Most recent .apk: com_chickenbrickstudios_cestos_full-signed.apk (1.6 MB)

To install: Uninstall old cestos, then run:

adb install com.chickenbrickstudios.cestos_full-signed.apk

whoa.. is there a guide somewheres to do this? I would love to tweak some applications. Hell I wish I knew how to code them.

I've been waiting forever for a descent, or any pilot log book to come out. Maybe even other tools like an E6B or better UTC time clocks/widget.

Mmk graphics redone so far (first two scaled down, click thumb):

I gotta say, the mines are pretty sweet in-game. So is the main menu. That's all I've tried so far, haven't made new apk yet.

I know that Avilution makes an E6B app:

Also, there are a couple of UTC clocks and widgets out there, but I just found this one:

It is SO fun to use this in-game.

Lewa have you tried installing this on a non-rooted phone...reason i ask is because the battery widget i did installs on my rooted eris but my wife's unrooted eris won't install the app. I was wondering if its because they are signed with test keys and if I need to sign it a different way for non rooted phones....I know that was off topic of your post but thought I'd ask you....Graphics are looking good never tried this game but I might just have to check it out now...

Don't know why it's not installing. I didn't sign it myself, I used a .jar someone else made.
