Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

Addressing the Notification light question about the charging and notifications; there is an app on the market called LG Touch LED Notifications (I'll post the link) it at least help when you receive text messages / missed calls.

:)

I have tried that program and I found it clumsy at beat. I hope they have cleaned it up since July when I last tried it.

What's the latest word on 3.75? Safe to move to it from 3.68? Do lockups always occur after 40 hrs. or are they random depending on what you do on the device?

So far it's working great for me. If you use bluetooth, you'll want to flash this in CWM. It'll fix the issue with bluetooth passwords.
BluetoothFixCTMod3.75.zip

A few people have reported some issues but it's working great for others. I suggest you give it a try and see how it does on your phone. ;)

I very rarely go more that 18 hours without changing my battery. If there is a problem with freezing or lockups after a certain amount of time, I wouldn't know. :D

Good luck. I hope you get good results if you decide to try it.

I try not to reboot my phone. I have an extended battery and the cover is a pain to remove to pull the battery for example. I can get almost 3 days out of a full charge with average use of the phone. I guess if I go to 3.75 and it turns out it needs a reboot once in a while, I can schedule it with something like Llama which I already use for other purposes.

3 DAYS??!!?? That's not bad at all! I thought about getting one of those but decided against it because I couldn't use my protective cases that I'd bought. No way in the world that they would've fit. :D

The extended battery requires a custom back cover and I think they all come with it (I find the cover a pain to remove though and the little tabs that keep it in place can easily break). The battery will also make the phone thicker and heavier, but I kinda like that. I think for ~$15 on ebay/amazon it's a no-brainer even if you keep it around as a spare when you travel, etc. But once you use it, I bet you can't go back to the regular battery :)

Not sure if it's a rom related, which I highly doubt, but maybe you guys can lead me to the right direction. My GPS is not working properly. It's constantly searching for signal, there is a minute when it locks in, but it drops it right away. Most of a time it locks in to 1 or 2 satellites. I flashed / reflashed to different roms, tried all these GPS signal boosters in the background (GPS status, GPS test). None of that $hit works. I reached the point where I might have to swap the phones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try placing this in /system/etc/
http://db.tt/XPgHXWCK
(Permissions should be rw-r-r)

If that doesn't work, try tracker booster (play store)
It makes your GPS constantly request updates.

replaced the file. It locked in to 2 satellites within few minutes but then it dropped and that was it. I had the tracker booster installed earlier. That did not improve at all.
It has some type of a signal cause it is showing correct general area where I am but about half mile down the road.
What gets me it used to work fine, and one day it topped working all of a sudden. No clue. Maybe hardware problem? GPS chip is gone?

I had this happen with a different phone before. Not sure if it will help in this case, but I flashed back to stock then re flashed the rom and it worked again. That's why I always stick to clean flashes and try to avoid Ti Backup because you never really know if that data is corrupted
