Christian: Hello, could you please give me some information about unlocking my phone's bootloader?
michelle: Hello, good morning! I'll be more than glad to assist you today! michelle: Well, unfortunately as the manufacturer we do not have the instructions or the information about how to root the device, sorry. In fact, if the phone is rooted, that would void the warranty service.
Christian: I don't want to root it, I would like to unlock the bootloader, so that I can upgrade and customize my phone.
Christian: Could you please send me to a phone tech?
michelle: I do apologize for any inconvenience, because we do not have those instructions either, sorry. I wish I could provide it to you, but, the only instructions that we can provide you would be how to get into the recovery mode, but, by resetting it.
michelle: Well, our technicians do not take calls, nor chats. This is the actual Customer Service and Tech Support department.
michelle: And we do not have that information at all, to be honest with you.
Christian: Is there a recovery mode other than the one that automatically resets the phone? One with options for things such as installing updates from the sd card?
michelle: As far as I can tell you, that we know of, this would be the only way to get into the recovery mode. By pressing the combination of keys, to reset it, sorry.
michelle: Most of the updates that we send out, are either over the air, thru the service provider or online, if you connect it via USB.
Christian: Ok, could you possibly tell me or give me a link about how I could make an update by myself to apply via USB so that I can replace the phone's ROM?
michelle: Well, to change that out, we do not have a tool. Those are part of the phone specs and software. We have a software update tool that allows you to update the software in case there is one send out.
Christian: Do you have a tool or information on how I can create an update myself?

John: I am afraid that this information is not available to us on how to make an update, updates are given to us by the carrier and we work together with them in the development process but we do not have a tool available to give or share for creating updates for any phone

Christian: Well, I am quiet sure your techs have one, what I mean is are you able to give me any information about where or how I can get it.
John: I am not able to give you instructions or assist on unlocking a phone John: it is against our company policies
John: if not I would help you with that
Christian: Ok, well thank you for your assistance. I hope LG decides to release this information/tool soon. Many of us would appreciate it.

the root community needs the bootloader for the LG MS770 to be unlocke
d. if locked bootloaders become a common theme for lg android phones i

FWIW I just dropped a few lines to a team who's email addy's I saw while browsing the aboot from the Regard in disassembler. Let's see who they are and what they have, if anything, to say.
No reply whatsoever from the lge team. I did get an out of office memo from LEADER but nothing from the other two addy's.
