Im not sure why the recovery file because so much larger this time around but im going to roll with it. The recovery.fstab in the 4x recovery was pointing to directorys that do not exist on our motion.
Thanks guys. Im going to begin work on 1,2 tomorrow. Does anybody have that recovery for the phone that i wanna say sammy created? I think i know which way to go and do feel im getting closer its just finding time. I work heavy construction during the days so i gotta find motivation in the evening. I do however want this as bad as everyone else.

Well i know a few programming languages but im learning all this android as i work. Its got a familiar "feeling" to it that really helps. I want recovery working and time to build my first rom....its just like i said though labor in the day lol
Just tried a hard recovery with no change, using the soft recovery in ROM toolbox I got brought back back to the five second black screen. I'm gonna take that as a sign that you managed to overwrite the the recovery with something that lg.morningcall accepts, but I think the recovery is getting lost during the actual boot process.
Im just doing my usual run through of possibilities. I was facing an issue like this while installing clockworkmod on my ascend, nothing i did would open the recovery prompt until i used adb. ><
Ive been using "Absolute. System Root tools" from playstore to check my rooting. if you hit menu when the app is open it gives you an option to "Boot to Recovery" that and the rest of the functions of the app pretty much details the system state to me. That plus the prop editor makes it a good app to have. It may be able to save you some time figuring out the restore.
adam outler from xda unlocked the bootloader from the note 2. by tricking the phone to think its a gs3. he also found 3 exploits to unlock the bootloader. one way had to do while it charges.

FWIW I used Jenkins to build a recovery providing our stock recovery and fstab. Keep in mind also the app uses the recovery and boot as a ramdisk of the img not the actual img.
Alright so i spoke with shabby and he believes its no longer even attempting to load a recovery, be it cwm or stock. I have to agree with him so I am comparing every single file from the stock apk to the ones on my modified apk to see what im missing. Found a big deal, not mounting the sd card, set to boot not set to adb and not debuggable. All fixed up now im going to continue comparisions for awhile in the meantime try this : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/97327128/signed_LG-Optimus-4XHD-Recovery-v1.0.apk
