Galaxy Note 2 for iPad 3

Hello guys,

I have an iPad 3 that Im not using much and there's a friend that wants to change his Note 2 for mi iPad 3... would this be a good deal?... I already have a Galaxy S3 but I've heard that the Note 2 is a beast... it would be nice to give it a try.

Having a lot of money invested in Apples ecosystem, I wouldn't say emphatically you should take one over the other; but this is coming from someone who only uses paid apps. Since you already have the SIII, I'd keep that and the iPad 3. The SIII is going to get outfitted with the same features the Note 2 has.

If you feel like you're not going to loose anything Apple related (from a financial aspect) then get the Note 2.

Well this is coming from someone who owns a Note 2, iPad 2 and an iPhone 5. I would say it all depends what you want. I absolutely love my Note 2 and find myself using my iPad 2 less and less these days but I probably wouldn't give up my iPad for any Android phone or tablet.

I just really like the way apples tablets work. Even many reviewers agree that no android tablet can compare at the moment.

If you aren't using the iPad and want to upgrade to the Note 2 then I say go for it but if you like the iPad and use it then I would say keep the iPad.

I bought a note 2 and note 10.1. It's a chore posting in the forums, no matter what keyboard I use. The only thing I like the tablet over the phone (or PC) is for reading books, magazines and watching videos. Love the portability over a laptop as well.

I'm just using my tablet now since I'm reading a magazine, but for forum use I absolutely love my N2. Surfing the web, reading a magazine, book or watching a video would be great for tablets. My laptop is good for everything except doing anything while lying down, or in a couch. My laptop is huge, heavy and not so mobile. It's a gaming laptop, not really easy carrying around at 17 lbs.

Now that I've completely ran wild and way off topic, I'll go back to topic by saying go for the note. I use it more than my laptop and tablet combined. Chances are you will too.

I, like others above, own a N2 and an ipad (ipad 2). I love my note 2 but I still find use in my ipad particularly because I still enjoy some itunes content. All I know is that at this point I rarely turn my pc on, the n2 is fabulous on the go but at home I still use my ipad for a lot of stuff. If I HAD choose one or the other it would be the Note 2 due to it being a phablet but since its a hard decision I'd rather own both and not make that decision at all. Finally, Apple products always have a high resale value, you can always get a N2 and if you feel the ipad 3 or "new ipad" as Apple calls it, is just collecting dust then you can sell it. One can never have too many toys but understand you are asking this question in a forum where people are gaga over their Note 2!

For me it's all about portability.
I never went for a tablet because I know it's just too bulky to cary around. If it doesn't fit in my pocket, or hang on my belt it will get left behind.

For me the GN2 is the best of both worlds. The display's big enough to be an e-reader, I can navigate the internet, have a phone and all of my music in a very portable form factor.

If you use a backpack or don't mind toting around another device aside from your cellphone then a tablet may be good for you, but for me the GN2 does it all.
