Where's JellyBean???

Had a nice phone call from HTC today after giving very negative feedback after using live chat yesterday.
The result, the person i spoke to is contacting Head Office as they agreed with my ideas whole heartedly about being open concerning updates.
Hopefully this will mean no more reading from prepared scripts:D.

With regards to that RUU file you will find you need to upgrade your hboot first.

I also mentioned that S-Off for unbranded phones would also be a good move

Hi All,

Should have asked this before i did it but.........

I have a CID HTC__001, non branded not rooted completly stock device, based in the uk.
I updated to JB today with the RUU from GuitarG20 link above, i had to update the Hboot to 1.36 first.
All installed ok and up and running......and yes it wipes phone of all apps but did keep my pictures, had back them up first though.

Anyway my question is will i get official ota updates now going forward or will i have to manually update as i have with JB??

Thanks in advance

Going by HTC's track record perhaps they are waiting to see if the world will end before they push JB. Ive had enough of waiting. Ive had JB on my infinity for months. I think they (HTC) are not updating the hox to push sales for the hox+. Im now the proud owner of a nexus 4. No more waiting for updates already on 4.2.1 im sad to say godbye after 3 htc devices starting with a hero on cupcake (it took them forever to update that to donut but they said orange was the problem) and finishing with the hox. Had a s2 along the way but hated touchswizz. Came back to htc as sence is so much better and foolishly I thought they would beat samsung with updates.

Good luck everyone dont wear out the update button!

Reports on XDA forum that HTC_001 in Germany and France starting to get the update..............i assume the mean HTC__001.

So looks close for the UK......maybe i wasted a few hours yesterday installing the RUU and resetting up the phone. Oh Well.

Yes, it appears to be on general release on mainland Europe.

Past updates have usually been rolled out in UK/Ireland about a week after the rest of Europe.

I have done that 3 times so far & then the update comes along 7 days later, decided to give it a little bit longer this time.:D

Would I be able to install this RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radi o_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe if my device is unlocked, unbranded (WWE), and with HTC_J15 CID?

normally if you are on a version xxx.401.xxx provided the 401 piece is there you used to be able to with the previous RUU files not so sure now as the cid seems to be coming in more now.

Just a quick question....i updated to JB via the RUU via GuitarG20 link.
But as mine was completly stock i needed to update the hboot to 1.36 first as it was on 1.12 (i think).
I used ADB and Fastboot SDK platform tools to update the hboot.....now to be honest not really sure what this does but i can follow instructions and it worked.

So by doing this have i voided my warranty with HTC??
