Root [ROM] Harmonia 3.17 17Nov12 (ICS\Sense 3.6)

ever since i updated to 3.17 my 4g hasn't been working. it will turn on, say it's connecting to sprint, then it immediately says "turning 4g off". then it turns it back on and keeps doing it. any ideas?

what version did u update from? My 4G works fine. Maybe wipe cache, system, and wipe Dalvik then flash the rom again. Lesile Ann states clearly in WARNINGS And Known Issues!!!! that Updating has been known to create issues!.

I didn't like Lux and have been using this one (and yeah, it's nicer being able to dim it a lot further):

Also, you can dim the capacitance backlight, simply change it in Leedroid, but don't let Leedroid restart the phone. Close leedroid out and restart through the power button menu. When it comes back up it will be the new setting.

4EXT can do it with out rebooting.

Sorry, didn't notice you specifically said you are using TWRP. I have noticed other tools but just checked System and SystemTuner and Battery Mix, found nothing.

Yea that's why I asked if there was other methods, because twrp doesn't even have that option lol. I did the battery stats app, and today I got 10hr 3 min, with semi-heavy usage (music playing all day, 3g and everything else off, moderate texting and very light gaming) pretty good compared to the 6-7 hrs I was getting before, and this is also with 2 forced reboots, idk but sometimes when I turn on the wifi it gets stuck and I have to reboot ><.

I've noticed the volume buttons are active while screen is locked. you can test it by pressing a volume button and quickly press the power button and you'll notice it changing. Is there a way to prevent this ?

It does that on the stock rom also. Probably a *feature* to allow you to adjust the volume without having to unlock the phone.

Leslie,

Thanks for quick confirm. When I was in office I found this is really annoying - It is OK to get a few phone calls occasionally, but the email notification is so load and happened every few minutes. If I turn the volume down, I might miss calls.

I turned off email notification for now, AND looking forward to JB release on Harmonia. :)

Thanks again for great work, and Happy holiday.

Leslie Ann, I've got your rom set as my daily now, and I just wanted your opinion of the stock keyboard which you have on your rom. I've always replaced it for the stock one, because it auto spaces after hitting a suggested work, and it offers easy punctuation at the end of a sentence. I haven't found any settings to change this on the stock keyboard. Any suggestions, or should I just put in the Google stock version?

You're welcome.

You may not be able to change the volume, but there is another way to achieve the same result (I should have thought of it sooner).

You can't change the volume on those separate, but you can change the notification sound to something with less volume or even edit the file to have less volume. Either way, you get the result you are after.

Hope that helps.

The keyboard in Harmonia is the stock HTC keyboard that comes with the Evo V. Personally, I find it to be pathetic! The auto correct is the worst I have seen on a phone.

I use Touchpal by Cootek.
