Must have apps for the Note 2...

AT&T Visual Voicemail - Must have for any Ex-iPhone users.
Bank of America app - Deposit check with camera without going to the bank!
Spotify - Unlimited radio for US for free, and on demand playlist on computer for free!
Amazon Kindle app - The Note II size made it the perfect Kindle device (at least for me)

Sketchbook Mobile - Best drawing app for the phone I've encountered so far.

Comixology - Turns note2 into an amazing comic book reader, great frame-by-frame formatting, lots of first issues of series are free.

Nova Launcher - Far more attractive and customizable than touchwiz imo. Now if only I could do something about that cluttered notification shade...

HD Widgets - worth it for the weather widget alone.

PURE Calendar - Most attractive and functional Calendar widget I've been able to find.

Due Today - Most attractive to-do list widget I've been able to find, integrates with most Calendar programs I've found too.

I'm sorry but battery saving apps really are not needed for this phone. The OEM 3100maH battery is PLENTY for whatever you throw at it.

Chrome to Phone - One of the most incredible apps I've ever used. Just download the plugin for your respective browser and you are then able to send anything from a text, to maps, to directions, etc. from your browser right to your phone!

Pulse - Easily the best aggregation app out there. Whatever you're fancy, you can customize it in Pulse and have articles ready to read at your fingertips. Even better, if the whole article isn't available in Pulse, it will load that article directly within the app rather than opening up another browser!

To take advantage of this amazing screen, HBOgo and Netflix

Battery solo, battery monitor widget.

Live wallpapers, Digital flux, fluid free and koi pond.

Enjoy.
I agree with HBOgo and Netflix
This is the first phone with a display good enough and large enough to enjoy a movie. I just watched one yesterday and really enjoyed it.

I'm glad I was able to keep my unlimited Verizon plan as I'm going to burn up the MB with streaming. :)

Tasker is great! Tapatalk & EZ PDF Reader.

Another app I have become fond of is WhatsApp, it allows you to send and receive txt msgs via Wi-Fi. Only downfall is the sender has to use WhatsAPP also.

BUT, I go to Purdue and there is no cell service in the basement of their buildings where the engineering classes are so this allows my wife to alert me of "wife like emergency's (need milk)". Maybe not must have but is handy.

lookout mobile security

+1

Its the first thing I install on my phones/tablets. An absolute must have.

I also like Fast Reboot - not exactly a task killer, but does an amazing job of clearing up memory.

PicSpeed - a great collection of hi-def wallpapers.
RealCal - the best calculator I found so far, including lots of scientific functions.
Widgetsoid - a highly customizable widget with all kinds of switches. Looks great with no background and no indicators - very clean.
Zooper Widget - a highly customizable widget for clock/calendar/weather and any other system info, all in clean text.
Any kind of Screen Off widget - I like to keep my screen always on and use Screen off so I don't have to press power button.
A.I. Keyboard - was mentioned on this forum, and I found it to be the best!

Also, as it was mentioned before, Nova Launcher. Gives you flexibility of changing the grid for a better customization of the screen layout, allows you to overlap widgets, different transition effects, different scrolling modes for app drawer, and scrollable dock to add more shortcuts.

Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City($4.99): simply amazing games that look great, run great, sound great, and are great fun. Everybody that sees you playing it with shlt their pants and have to get it for themselves right away.

Beach Buggy Blitz(free): works great to show your friends how awesome the screen is.
Chrome(free): good browser

Xbox SmartGlass(free): lets you control your Xbox with your touch screen. Really helpful for navigating in things like internet explorer and makes typing messages to people super easy and much less clunky than hunting out letters with the controler

Zedge(free): you can find some pretty awesome notification and ring tones

Crackle(free): Watch a good selection of movies and TV shows fo free. Not that many advertisements and the selection is good, I watched District 9 the other night, and I enjoy watching Seinfeld via Crackle when I cant fall asleep

GO SMS PRO(free): good texting app that lets you customize just about every feature known to man such as LED color and blink rate, whether the screen turns on or not if you get a text message, and everything ells you could want to change. It also allows you to do group messaging like the iPhone does which is a huge plus. It also allows you to send larger MMS messages than the stock app so your pictures wont look like they were taken with a flip phone

If you're a big fan of To Do Lists, Astrid is my favorite. I've tried probably 10 other To Do Apps on Android and iOS and this is bar far tops for me.

I like "Tasks". It syncs with Google Tasks. I have 4 widgets on one screen for each task list and it's very convenient to be able to tap on the item and mark it completed. You can set reminders, etc. It makes an excellent shopping list because you can add items from any device via the app or your Google calendar tasks.

I enjoy doing this now too. I totally hated Netflix on my 4.5" screen. At the time, Netflix was trying to be cute with their low bitrate encoded movies and shows over android. I emailed them saying that I was cancelling for the quality of video on Android and for that only because it was so terrible. A year later, I gave it a shot on the Note II, and it runs nice. I'm in Korea so I do it over a VPN. Still works great!
