Samsung Galaxy Note 3!!!

If we are talking about 1 hand, I can barely use the phone with one hand if my other hand is occupied. Yes, I can pull it out of my pocket and check email, but it's a stretch. I mean this is the limit. :) I didn't have any such problem with my Gnex. Although we can always be tempted to go larger in 6 months, I have to concur with most of the posts above that anything larger than this would be too over the top for every day phone/text/email usage on the run.

Contrary to everybody's belief that they'll bump up the size, I think they'll put in a flexible screen before increasing the size:

Samsung said to be bringing flexible 5.5 inch display to CES

5.5 Flexible screen sounds like the best option, considering there have already been horror stories of some people cracking their screens (and some of the drop tests showed cracking right away).

I wouldn't mind if they went that route first, and then figured out how to turn the flexible screen into a bigger screen, while using that flexibility to keep the form factor where it currently is.

sounds great but i can't see it being implemented for Note 3 unless they've done lots of work on it already. i just can't imagine something debuting at CES being ready for mass market at an affordable price within a year....though i could be and probably am wrong as i have nothing to back that up.

Before the Note 2 was officially announced, there were rumors that it was being implemented on it (but obviously, that didn't happen). So, realistically, there's nothing that I could say would hold them back from doing it, unless they don't feel the technology is up to their standards yet.

Well, um, I guess you'll have to save your money up and buy a Nexus 7.

I don't want or need a Nexus 7. I already have a 10" tablet and like having a 5.5" inch phone. The 7" form factor does nothing for me. Too big for a phone, too small for a tablet. This is why I don't want to see the Note 2 get much bigger.

I'm thinking this doesn't really solve the screen cracking, but more on design. I can imagine future phones will be curved. They still need to put something hard (usually brittle) to prevent the screen from being scratched so easily. Either that or some sort of protector. :)

I'm repeating myself again, but... Screw the flexible glass how bout Samsung stick with their promise of better battery life... ? It's more important.
What do you mean? are you referring to the Note series? I have all three (actually had to be more precise).

Note one with its 2100 Mhz battery was at the time awesome, It lasted far longer than the EVO 4G, and Photon 4G I had.

Note 10.1 even though its a tablet is fine with battery life and lasts for qwite a long time (at least for my needs).

The Note 2, is a beast with its battery life, far outlasts anything I've had my hands on.

Now if you are referring to previous Samsung phones, then I can't comment.

I mean in general. That's how they made it sound. Also, expectations of "better" to me is lasting longer than just all day (with any kind of use). I'm talking like 2 to 3 days on moderate to heavy use. I dunno how unrealistic that is, but that's my idea of a SIGNIFICANT improvement. With that said i dunno the note 2s batt life but i figure it's better that mine.

I'm very happy with the N2's battery.
With extensive use I've never drained it in a day so far. I spend a couple of hours each day using it as an e-reader with brightness turned up high, and browse the internet often during the day.

I've been thinking of using my 50% off coupon on the spare battery / charger combo, but with the long life of the battery, I'm not sure if I'd ever use the 2nd battery.

If it gets me though a day of such use, I'm happy. I have no problem recharging at night.

What smartphone actually has the capability of lasting 2-3 days with "heavy" use? Blackberry is the only device that I've seen where people have managed to go 2-3 days with heavy use, but of course, use on a Blackberry's eco-system is much more limited than Android, iOS or Windows phone.

Not the BB's that I owned!! they never could manage a full day, let alone 2-3 days. I had numerous storms and storm 2's.

I remembered using my Palm treo 650 for more than 3 days without charging. But then again, I wasn't connected on the net, and I don't have access to any information that I have in today's devices.

My T|650 never lasted a whole day. Like the Note 2, it was glued to my hand. Fortunately there were plenty of chargers cause during that time everybody was feeling the Treo.
