Root How can I unroot?

I'm sort of new to all this rooting stuff, and I want to unroot my phone now. I want to get a new phone because I think mine has some slight defects (such as continuing to vibrate after I get a message), but my warranted is voided under a rooted phone. What's the best way to unroot?

Also, can I keep all my apps, including ones that require root, like Titanium Backup? How can I save those for a new phone I get?

You can run the updater to unroot.....

Google does keep track of all your apps. On my list it goes back since my first android in 2010. I used to keep backups on my desktop but found it's just as fast to go to the playstore website and install what I want from there.

Running the updater should take your phone back to out of the box state.

If you have titanium backup pro you can backup all your apps and your system data. Then when you get a different one once TiBu is on that you can restore all apps and system data pretty much resorting the phone the way it was when the back up was made.

Also sync your calender with google that'll cover your calender dates if any, save contacts to the sd card, and if you have a alt home launcher backup that as well.

Alternately you can go into the system files (via root explorer/file manager) and delete the xbin folder then manually uninstall the superuser app from system apps folder that should unroot it.

Note of you're running clockwork mod recovery be sure to flash the de-looper zip when you're done unrooting to remove cwm. Then factory reset and you should be all good.

You don't have to actually export your contacts to your sdcard anymore. When you put your google info into a new phone your contacts are automatically there.

I find TB to be really slow when doing a restore. I can do it much faster the playstore method. Or even using Android Assistant. That's a lot of steps to go through when you can just run the updater and a few minutes later be done with it. IMHO (but what do I know? lol, what I do know I forget anyway)

Okay, thanks! So if I run the updater, all my apps are saved? Even the rooted ones? I can just access my google account and everything is fine?

By the way, I think I did a nandroid backup using CyanogenMod or something similar (I don't remember the name). Does that affect anything?

No, running the updater takes your phone back to like it is when you first get it out of the box. You can't use a nanroid or TB if you're not rooted anyway......(am I missing something here???)

I'm already rooted... but I'm thinking about unrooting my phone. I think I did Clockwork Mod or something, not cyanogen... while looking up things dealing with roots I got those confused. I have Titanium Backup Downloaded, and I downloaded it so I could remove bloatware.

Ok, just to make sure, I can just 1) run the updater to take my phone back to stock, 2) go to Google Play and download any previously downloaded apps, including paid apps, to my new phone (even if it's not a Connect) by signing into my previous Google account? By the way, where can I find the updater?

Once again, sorry for being completely inexperienced when it comes to Android... the Connect is my first smartphone.
