I've done it again. I think I need to be stopped! lol

I had a perfectly fine phone running the original orange 4.1.1 software. I decided to root it or something and now I'm stuck on the white intro screen.

I can get into the hboot or whatever it's called by holding down power and vol down, but once in there everything I try just takes me back to the white screen.

Factory reset just takes me back to white screen

Recovery shows me a pic of my phone with a green arrow, then a red warning sign. Sometimes from there I can get into recovery (of sorts), but theres nowhere there for me to restore my backups

Any ideas?

what you are seeing is the stock recovery.

you can relock, and run an ruu,as suggested above, or you can reinstall a custom recovery. from there you can restore a backup,or install a custom rom(dont forget to flash the boot image, recovery cannot install it)

another thing you can try prior ro either of the above,is enter the stock recovery. hold vol up/power until you get a menu. use that menu to wipe data and cache.tho i dont believe this will help you, since you mentioned trying a factory reset.

are we correct in assuming your current hboot status to be unlocked ?

I have installed another recovery image that allowed me to charge my phone and now I have a fully charged phone that wont get past the HTC screen

I can get into fastboot etc, but I tried the latest RUU above and it wouldn't let me install it. Is there something like the original orange backup I could flash etc?

2 days without a phone, I won't be doing this again in a hurry lol

Can you provide us with your current hboot, S-ON or S-OFF, status of bootloader, and what custom recovery you are running at the moment? Also what is the CID of your device? I can search and try to dig up a Nandroid backup for your device which should work by installing it from the recovery.

Here's a link:

Check if your CID is listed there.
