Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Firstly, thank you very much for the ROM! I dig it.

Question, though:
So after running quadrant on the midnight rom and then installing kernel tuner, overclocking to 1.94 ghz, and running quadrant again, I actually noticed a significant performance decrease. I went from 3200 to 1500. I was wondering what might explain that outcome.

Thanks to everyone who has posted and provided so much informative material!

he may be hitting the thermal wall of this phone's SOC.. the things designed to drop down rather then burning out and those hiccups of slow downs add up to crappy quadrant scores. i've OC'd mine to 1.56 and ran quadrant, phone feels plenty hot (got 4000 or so tho consistantly), i wouldn't be surprised to see that 1.6 is probably as far as the SOC can go without hitting the thermal and slowing down when used at 100%

I was currently on version 1.3.9 and haven't had any problems. I downloaded and installed 1.4.2 via 4ext and now all my phone does is keep booting over and over again. I did do wipe cache and davilik. I did not do a complete wipe since I was coming from a previous version. Has anyone else had this problem?? Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this is bootlooping?? Thanks

UPDATE FOR HBOOT 1.04 USERS

I officially have fixed the errors 1.04 hboot users were having. It seems that 1.04 just didn't like the boot.img file that was being installed onto the phone for some odd reason, so I made it where, when you're installing the rom, it installs a stock boot.img file to the cell, unpacks it, installs the mac kernel into it, then repacks it.

New version for both sense, and senseless, will be up later tonight.
