I swapped my sims before cause magically in my pocket my sim erased itself from metros entire system. but i switched sims from connect to connect and i called like every 20 mins for a week til i explained to them how to get my 4g goin. MAKE SURE THEY ASK U UR ICCID. ur iccid is what controls wether u use 4g or not.......hmm i wonder if that same thing factors into 1of the other threads for ics portin ?????
Hey guys, sorry I have been so quiet the past few days. I have been working on trying to get my website up and running correctly. Anyhow, I made a test build of CM7, but it bootlooped. I think the problem lies in the device I am trying to port from is a GSM device. Unfortunately none of the CDMA/LTE LG phones are officially supported by CyanogenMod, so I may have to build that from source as well, but I have not given up.

building from src? If so push said repo to your github (dont have one get one & learn to use it and I will look it over and advise.
Most likely will have the same issue that was had on the Esteem/Revo, no RIL class in CM7 for what LG CDMA/LTE devices use and no props to define like in CM9/10.

I did a sloppy port actually. Download a stock ROM and CM7. Then delete a little bit this and copy that. So, I am gonna try building from src in the coming week and see how that goes. I have a working kernel, so building the ROM is going to be a lot easier

I have ported before and that was easy but when you see that nothing works that's the headache right there hey can you guys tell me how fast is the connect compared to the motion in getting the connect and im gonna attemp to get cm9 for it in not a dev but i have compile sources before
I hope I'm not coming off as rude but what are you doing here? lol.. You have an optimus and you're commenting on the connect forums talking about the coolpad/attain and the esteem. You just seem a little out of place lol. Again no offense.
Not trying to be a Debby Downer or anything, but of no devs have gotten us ics or cm7 in the 11 months most of us have or had this phone for its safe to assume we're all gonna move on to bigger and better things here shortly. It would be nice to have one or the other for a week or two before I just grab the Spirit though
I certainly won't hate it. The Spirit is the Motion with a better screen, so that's perfect. My Motion works so well that I DON'T have to root it, that's the idea. I'm buying it, bootloader be damned. I only modded the Connect because, well you know why LOL. It's a piece if you don't
