Hi everyone, I got the LTEVO through pre-order at BB back in June. It's Been a pretty good device, except for Google wallet not working very well.....but for some reason I just feel that the EVO is all I was hoping it would.....Sprint let me know that they are offering an early upgrade deal right now, so I called BB to make sure they would handle the details for me, because I'm a commercial business, they said no problem. So I ordered a Note 2 in titanium/gray, it's supposed to be in tomorrow morning. Is the Note2 going to be an upgrade from the EVO 4g LTE? I bought 2 Samsung phones for my kids, and have played with them a little, they seem quite nice. I also got a Note 10.1 for my self back in November.....so I figured, I may as well swap out my EVO for the Note 2.....am I making a good choice? The way I am set up with my company, I can basically get a phone every 6 months or so, because of the spacing of the contracts....so if I don't care for it, come June I can grab another phone.

Convince me I am making a good choice..... :D

well i do not have the note 2, but my friends do. i do however have the evo lte. all i can say is that the note 2 is huge!!!!!. it might be a little big for my taste. i have played with my friends phone and i must say it is pretty sweet. if i did not get my evo lte i most likely would have gotten the note 2, though at the time it was the evo lte or the s3.

either way i'm happy with my decision as i think you will be too.;)

I know some of the guides and mods may be of a different opinion than me but you're making a great decision. You will absolutely love this phone and btw, the camera is awesome:) After owning the Hero and Evo4G the last 3 years, if it makes any difference, when I was out looking for a new phone, the Evolte was at the bottom of my list for phones;)

Well, I stopped by BB and found out I have a line available for upgrade, don't need to do the "upgrade now" option...so they were going to hold one for me till tomorrow.....it's a white one, not sure I want white, but the Titanium is not available on the BB site....supposedly..... either way, I'm looking forward to it.....

I'm not sure what you want in a phone. Is it an upgrade over the LTEvo? Absolutely! I haven't compared the two phones specs and too lazy to do so, but I'm confident that the GN2 would out spec the LTEvo in almost all (if not in all) metrics.

The only consideration you would decide on is the size. I'm confident you'll like one thing about the GN2, it's battery life! =)

I sold my Evo LTE and 3D to buy my Note 2. I don't miss them at all. Now I'm not a Google wallet user but I thought I read somewhere that the Note 2 had issues and wasn't supporting it. Now that may have now changed but I suggest you read up on it. Anyway, I love this phone. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something better.

Hey hey hey.......watch it buddy! :D
FWIW I had my Note 2 long before becoming a guide.
I wouldn't trade this phone for anything currently on the market.

I'm not sure what it is about the EVO LTE that I don't care for. I used to see a lot of people complaining about Samsung, and their support, but now it seems like that is a non isssue. Since I have some upgrades, I thought I would like to try the GN2 out.....perhaps I may find I don't use my Note 10.1 as much, or that I may not need it anymore.

I am much happier with my Note 2 over my old Evo LTE.
The LTE felt better in hand than the plastic feeling note 2, but I am happier with everything else the note 2 provides.
My signal is a bit stronger (no 4G LTE here, yet), and the battery life is 2 or 3 times better. Much less lag, the S-Pen and multi-view are all great features. The size is not an issue once you use the note 2 for a couple of days. You get used to it pretty fast.
If you aren't sure you'll like white, hold out for titanium. I am still not a fan of the white, which was all I could get from BB at the time.

I'm probably one of many converts who made their way to Samsung, from HTC. Never saw it coming, 2 years ago I wouldn't have believed it that my next phone will be a Samsung.

Part of it is HTC's fault. By electing to go for non-replaceable batteries and reduce the number of devices with expandable storage, I felt limited. Thank God I took my sweet time to upgrade. Then the note 2 came out, and I just knew that this will be the next standards phones will be based on.... Okay maybe a little dramatic, but you get my drift. :D
