Root What wifi app do you use?

Sup fellas, when I use my rooted phone as a wifi hotspot I get terrible download speeds, so much so that my browser can't load even the simplest of Web pages. I know it's not my coverage because I can look up the same pages on my phone and they load up in a flash.

So anyways, what wifi hotspot app do you guys use and how well does it work for you?

I am currently using barnacle wifi and wifi tether, neither with any luck.

I'm using this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.android.wifi.tether with the profile set to generic ICS/JB(wlan0). If you are having problems on your PC, try using an android phone or tablet. Could Metro be blocking based on user agent?

On my Optimus M, metro blocked by user agent. On the motion, I don't think it matters. Though, with the stock hot spot app, I noticed switching the user agent on my PC to android did help it load faster compared to default chrome. But I don't use that app; once you lose 4G signal, it turns off leaving you to reset everything. Alternatively, I use "WiFi Tether" app (the yellow icon one; the one linked in the quote). This one doesn't turn off if I lose signal and has better settings. I also use it to stream media to other devices.
