Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

What recovery do you recommend with this ROM? I've been using TWRP but just noticed I'm unable to wipe boot.

I use 4EXT and with s-on it makes my life pretty easy.

I've had the same issues post 1.4.3 or so. What I do to wifi working again is in the order and it works like a charm everytime.

1. backup current rom (I'm using 4EXT)
2. clear the dalvik/cache and battery stats
3. flash the new update
4. restore previous backup
5. flash the new update again

Voila! Everything will work. I know it's cumbersome but that's what I have to do to get wifi working again. I don't have wimax in my area so I never worry about that. I don't know if this will fix the wimax.

I have to dial my number to retrieve the message. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get my voicemail app working properly again?? Did I screw something up when I installed that voicemail file when I was on cm10?? Please help.

I did a full wipe and that seemed to bring back my voicemail and it appears to be working properly. Don't have any of those annoying text messages that say I have a voicemail, call such and such a number. I do have another issue though, when someone calls, it used to display the callers name on the lock screen, now when someone calls, the phone wakes up and the screen comes on, in the lock screen mode (where you have to scroll that ring) but there is nothing telling me that someone is calling outside of it ringing. I went through all of my settings as I had to redo them all and I was thinking maybe I had turned that feature off (if it is possible). The closest setting I found was in privacy, phone notification preview, then it says to check to show caller id for missed calls and voicemails on lockscreen and status bar. This was checked when I first went into this. I have called myself from a different phone with and without this checked, it makes no difference, there is no change in the lockscreen. I am puzzled with this issue. Does anyone have any feedback as to what might be going on?? I have even checked in leodroid tweaks as I cahnged a few things in there too, but there is nothing in there about displaying the person whos calling on the lock screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last night before I went to bed I had 70% left, when I woke up this morning (about 8 hours later), it went down less than 5%, before it would go down, at the minimum, 20% just by sleeping. I have noticed that when using it throughout the day, it does not go down as much either.
As for the change in the battery icon, I changed mine in leodroid tweaks, I made mine bigger because the stock one is way too small for me. Hope this helps

I'm not sure on that, but your could go back to the stock one that comes with your rom. As far as the stock one that came with your phone, not sure, sorry

In the latest version (1.4.8) it seems that File Manager is broken.

Edit: Nevermind seems a restart fixed it.

I know i might sound like a noob here, mainly because I am. But im not sure, after flashing this rom (S-ON) my wifi isn't turning on. It's broken actually i think? Idk if there is a fix or not.

Edit: Wifi says "Error"

I do have another issue though, when someone calls, it used to display the callers name on the lock screen, now when someone calls, the phone wakes up and the screen comes on, in the lock screen mode (where you have to scroll that ring) but there is nothing telling me that someone is calling outside of it ringing. I went through all of my settings as I had to redo them all and I was thinking maybe I had turned that feature off (if it is possible). The closest setting I found was in privacy, phone notification preview, then it says to check to show caller id for missed calls and voicemails on lockscreen and status bar. Hmm.....Try doing a complete backup (like, data, boot, system, etc), then wiping everything, and reinstalling fresh. Make a call to it, and see if it still happens ^_^ Then you can just restore and youll be back like nothing happened

FYI: there creepy so no real need to enable, just a hole that people will no longer fall in to.

I just did a complete wipe and restore ( the old fashion way one settings at a time ).
Just tested calling phone, card shows up at ring screen with # and contact info.
You can accept to decline without unlocking the phone.

So it works for me, hope that helps.

I did a full backup and did a complete wipe. I then installed the rom from the sd card, called myself and it showed the caller on the lock screen. I then restored my backup and called myself. It Again doesn't show the caller on the lock screen. Is there any way to fi this without having to start again with a full wipe. It took me over a day to set my phone up the way I want it. I just did this 2 days ago. I would hate to start all over again. Please help.

I tried putting the PG861MG into the sd root. Followed the steps, turned off power then turned it on while holding volume key down. It scanned for some files in the hboot and say parsing PG861MG. Then nothing else happened. I tried going into fastboot option and then hit bootloader, it did the same and nothing happened. please help!

Can someone please explain to me while I'm still getting this? It's not limited to MightnightRom, either. I've tried Mobsterz and Viper3D and I'm still getting radio errors when I text regardless of rom.

It has nothing to do with the rom, do you have the latest radio update?

Hey guys I tried flashing the boot.img after flashing this ROM zip like said in instructions for S-On. System restarted and I went and checked the kernel. Still say 3.0.16-g4211684
htc-kernel@u18000-build-144#1.........

What gives?

I'm on Stock ODEX with S-on-- I'd like to switch to this rom do I need to flash the rom before applying the firmware update from Sprint or do I place the zip file update in the root of sd card first before flashing midnight rom? Sorry for my ignorance this is all new to me (coming from a former Triumph owner)
