Dock Question

This is really just curiosity gnawing at me....

I've had my TF300T for about 2 weeks. When I bought it, I got it from a Best Buy out of town. The dock they had said on the package that it was for the 200 and 700. I did wait to get the TF300 specific dock, because I remembered my local BB had them in stock. And it was $50 cheaper.

Would the 200/700 dock have worked on the 300?

I've read that the 300 dock will work on the 700 although because the 700 is thinner it is a little loose. For the same reason, the 700 dock won't work on the 300 (because it is too thick for the dock without forcing it). Haven't read anything about the 200 dock.

I picked up a TF300T dock for $75 today at BestBuy.

Yep, Best Buy has them for $75. I bought mine at Office Depot 3 weeks ago for $119. I called and spoke with the manager of Office Depot and he's going to match their price and refund my money. Pretty cool of him to do so if you ask me. That's the reason I like dealing with Office Depot.

The 201 dock is the exact same as the 700 dock. Asus just repackaged it for that device. Many people reported that upon attaching the 700 dock to the infinity, it came up as tf-201-dock. The 201/700 dock would not have worked because of size differences, and I believe the proprietary hook up is in a slightly different spot as far as alignment would be concerned.
