Hi all,

I'm on Datsin's 10.1, and seeing as the ROM supplied MMS app just ended up in the 'sending MMS' stage for hours, I determined it was broken and gave the procedures described in this thread a try. I deleted the stock MMS.apk from system/app using file explorer and flashed the mms fix zip supplied on this thread. However, when I tried to send an MMS after rebooting, I got an error message saying 'com.android.mms' has stopped and it force closed. This is where I find myself at a bit of a loss as I'm fairly new to ROMs and save for this minor MMS quirk, the CM10.1 ROM is fantastic in every way.

I'd appreciate any help :)

I will have a CM 10.1 version up tomorrow. In the meantime, using the Evervolve version should work.

I know that Dastin has a Virgin Mobile version of his CM10.1, but I have seen reports of it not working properly. I just flashed the Sprint version and flashed the following zip and have working MMS. This may be nice to add to the OP until he has his Virgin build 100% working. This may also fix the Virgin build as well but I have not looked at it. This should also work with Mazda's latest AOKP 4.2.1.

CM 10.1 MMS Fix+Cache

This works just like all the other flashable fixes.

Also as a side note, I also did the original fix for the CM9 SonySan but he did not link to it. He did a complete second build for Virgin as well. This will work with SonySan Sprint builds for sure and probably other CM9 roms.

That is good to know but if you notice, I did say it might work for the VM build and I had not tested it. I can promise you this works on the Sprint version. The only thing that will be different for you if you flash this on the Sprint version is your rom will say Sprint instead of Virgin Mobile. I could go modify the eri.xml myself and add it to the flash but I am sure Dastin will have the VM build fixed soon. I needed MMS and wanted to try CM 10.1 so I used this. So if you would like to use, flash the Sprint version, gapps, and this fix and you will be good to go.

I saw the following on xda-developers today. This may fix the VM CM10.1 build until Dastin fixes it on his end...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37139775&postcount=314

Basically involves adding 2 lines to the /system/build.prop file and rebooting phone...(This is *NOT* my work, all credit to xda-developer krowley3...)

Code:
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310120
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Sprint

Apparently, there's more to the fix than this...Mine still not working...Perhaps need to flash the fix after doing this???
