Hi i was just wondering what your usual 3g speeds are?

I used to have around 150-230 kbps daily
But now its 5-6 kbps

Had multiple attempts to call Boost care and tech support to only have my phone factory resetted 2x luckily fot TB...

Anyways does anybody here use any tweaks for thier 3G speeds like the SetDNS which i bought a while back?

i've been getting about that raw in the phone speed from the start only i've tuned it a little and it get's almost 2mbs ( still about 200kps to 800kps raw) at dslreports after removing some settings. after i have returned from getting my lost phone from a best buy i will post the settings or a link to the OP

Thanks I'll be waiting for your post, so do you think it's my phone or the area that I'm in? Never had my net speed higher than 250 kbps I always though that was the usual speed I should be getting...

normally i get around 20 to 60kbps tested at -101db, at the high end it varies normally only get about 500kbps at -65db at the most for speed test before a simple setting change . after i get close to 2320kbps tested at -75/-65db without a prl change at the test site listed (note raw speeds are harder to gather unless using a computer and re downloading the same files raw speeds are better after these settings) ok now if you've been fallowing the posts for the stu you know you need your MSL code for unlocking some menus the menu i want you to use is ##3282# on the dialer once you've got the MSL entered it'll ask you in you want to view or edit choose edit enter MSL again . now click "advanced" change codecs to 4gv(should be three to change to this value)once done use the back button .now look for others next "browser (in the others menu)" click make sure the boxes are empty (should be three and read not set) after you've check and empty the boxes here use the back button and look for "multimedia" click in and there should be four boxes empty these and put 0 or rtsp proxy address0.0.0.0 rtsp proxy port 0 httppd proxy address 0.0.0.0 httppd proxy port 0(sometimes the simple 0 for all four doesn't work try the other way. empty does not work as far as a value :( .) after you've entered that use the home button and go to setting / about phone/ system updates/ update prl wait till the 3g logo comes back then update profile after thats done restart your phone and enjoy faster load time for web pages if you want better ping then look for a prl change guide ( i have not been able to change my prl from boost to sprint yet). if i need to make changes something please let me know
thanks for your time(sorry if seems as if i rambled)

It depends.. at work I usually get around 1700 kbps.. at home around 800kbps. At my parents house, I get around 20 kbps. It just depends on the area, reception, load on the tower, etc.

Yeah i guess it really does depend on the area but its weird becuase im always in one place and i have had no stable internet connection for a while now... im still waiting for the call from the tech support to know if its my phone or the area here...
