Help Widget Locker on Nexus 4

Has anyone tried Widget Locker on the Nexus 4 yet?
i tried it but there are two things I don't like and could use some help with.
When the screen is locked, it will unlock by pressing the home button. Also, when the screen is locked, pressing the button to the right of the home button unlocks the phone.
I searched and found something but its not easy to understand if you don't know what you are talking about.
if anyone here know how to disable those two buttons from unlocking the phone, can you please let me and those of us who are not tech savy how to do it in terms we we can understand?

Thanks a million.

Not sure what you mean. But I wish there was a way to remove those two lines that come up on either side. Guess they're there to remind you of the widgets you can add to the lock screen.

Basically, I don't want the three buttons at the bottom to be able to unlock the device. Defeats the purpose of choosing a custom slider of all you have to do is tap the home button.

I looked at that thread and I'd be very cautious. First they are talking about HTC phones, not a Nexus and second it's over a year old, long before JB (or ICS). Changing system files can have disastrous results. The issue is that the controls are active using WidgetLocker. I think it would be safer to take this up with the developer. From what I've seen TeslCoil is pretty accommodating.

This happened to me on Gingerbread when I using the International Galaxy Note. I believe it only happened if I did NOT use a slider or maybe used a certain slider that it didn't read. Like it reverts back to some safety thing to make sure you can unlock your phone still.

Maybe try a different slider, and maybe try going through WL's settings and make sure that the "home button to unlock" is not checked.

This has been a problem for me too. Although I was almost sure there would be something in the settings to turn this off but I never got around to checking for it. I guess there isn't an option.

Have the developers said anything in terms of providing this option? ...since not having it kind of defeats the purpose of a locked screen

I emailed the dev. This was his response.

"If you are rooted enable Settings > Advanced > Root Helper and that will hide all the nav bar buttons. If you are not rooted Settings > Advanced > Home Helper can block the home button and Settings > Buttons & Inputs > Block power dialog will also block the recent apps menu."

It works sometimes. Also, when unlocked and on the home screen, if you press the previously used key, it shows either widget locker or my launcher (nova) running and if you swipe them closed it gets all buggy.
There shouldn't be anything there if you press the previously used key.

Sorry, my terminology is terrible.

Just played with it for a bit, it gets it done but it is a bit buggy. I wasn't familiar with all of these settings...for a feature as simple as this it sure had a lot of ups/downs for disabling and enabling it though! Im not entirely sure why its not a little easier and available to do. This seems to be the only problem I have ran into with WL so far!

Ill play around with it some more. I didnt even think the rest of the buttons did anything, I only thought it was the home button.

I have been able to disable the soft keys on the home screen for the most part. Its when unlocked, the soft key for the previously opened apps, when pressed, it shows either WL or my launcher. If I swipe them away, well you can imagine what happens.

There has to be a way around this and have had no help from the Dev other than his suggestion that I mentioned a few posts back that doesn't work or answer my question.

Was just hoping someone here was able to get it to work properly.
