How to change default launcher

Hi.

I'm new in Android... so sorry if this is obvious.

I added a launcher to my tablet. When I press home key, android ask me what the default launcher to use. I selected the default (not the new) and I mark the checkbox to use always this launcher. Now I want to use by default the new launcher but I can't, whem I press the home key always the default launcher is fired.

I found a lot of threads to do the oposit, ie, in app make a reset on the new launcher. But my problem is I can't find in app the "standard" launcher to do a reset.

Someone can help me?

Regards
Carlos

What tablet do you have? Samsung? Motorola? etc.

I know on my HTC Rezound, I go to settings, then apps, then I click "all" to show all the apps, and then I find "HTC Sense". I go to the info for "HTC Sense" and scroll down to click on "Clear Defaults" under the "Launch by Default" section.

It might be similar to the OS on your tablet. I know you said you can't find the app, but if it's stock android jellybean, maybe look for jellybean or android 4.1 or some kinda name associated with the OS.

Hi Carlos,

Welcome aboard. I know sometimes how difficult it can be when using a new Os or device. Nonetheless, we will try to do our best to assist you as best as possible.

I see that sdsubasketball has posted some good steps as to how to get this done. :)

Hopefully you'll get this straightened out in no time.

Steps: Applications - all - launcher in use - clear default - home - check the box and choose the launcher you need.
