New Battery (HTC EVO V 4G)

I am not getting a good feeling about the Laza battery. I ordered 2 days ago and estimated shipping arrival is the 18th. As of now, it still doesn't list as shipped. Sent an email to the seller, no response as of yet, even Amazon says not available till the 19th. I wonder when I will actually get mine, I have a feeling it might include negative feedback to the seller.

Is it fulfilled through amazon but shipping from a third party?

My Platinum Extended battery was like this. It is PRIME elligible and so I get it shipped via 2 day for free. Up until the second night after I ordered it, it wasn't showing as shipped, but sure enough, it got there in 2 days as it should have. I've had this happen a few times in the past. Amazon will not show it as shipped the way you'd expect, and then BAM...it still gets there on the expected delivery date.

What date does Amazon show as your expected delivery date, 18th or 19th?

I went through ebay not Amazon. Its the same guy but cheaper to buy from ebay. I mentioned Amazon cause it shows as out of stock till the 19th there. Wondering if that's the same thing going on at ebay, even though it says more than 10 available.

I wish you luck in receiving your package promptly. Did you ask for tracking?

My company sells some items on eBay. We put things up there that we don't have in stock as long as we know our distributor has stock. I'm not saying this happened with the Laza battery, but it could.

I looked at the listing, and noticed that he gives free economy shipping, and eBay gives an expected delivery window of: Thu. Jan. 24 and Wed. Feb. 6 for orders placed today. Is January 18th the first day of your delivery window?

Also, when we ship something on eBay, we mark it as shipped and provide tracking. If you go into the sale, you may see this if that seller takes the time to update his sales.

I ordered on the 14th, the delivery date estimate was the 18th at that time, there was no other day listed. It also states when its shipped tracking info is then sent. They do say it ships within 1-3 business days, but still if that's true then the estimate will be off. I know its an estimate, but my recent purchases from other vendors got to me before the estimated day. The fact I didn't even get an answer to my message sent to them, other than the canned generated message, isn't good customer service. I checked the listing again, for me it says on or before Jan 24 to my zip code if you bought one now.

Just bought a set of "Sensation" replacement OEM Batteries with charger for $12 US
Marked as 2450mAh ( stock HTC EVO 3D is 1700mAh) but most likely like all OEM's a bogus, made-up number that sounds cool! ( look at how it's displayed on the battery )

1
2X 2450mAh Gold Battery Charger for HTC Sensation 4G G14 G18 G21 Sprint EVO 3D | eBay

Not selling, nothing to with the dealer, just a report of my findings and a simple question:

Showed up in a week, both batteries work, and power the phone. Charger works changes color when charging complete. There temperature seems to be acceptable.

I installed and ran (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en) battery calibration to run a fair test. Cycled both batteries through 2 full discharges ( down to 1% ) then full charge ( 100% ) and they preform as good as or a TINY bit better then stock ( running on Midnight 3.4.5 normal to slightly under-clocked and HTCCM10 build 20130102 )

Ok now to my question, or observation and concern. The price of $12 is WAY too little :( most people tell me this must be rejected HTC batteries re-branded. I understand that 2450mAh is just a made up, meaningless number. So if it lasts me 6 months or maybe a year then I'm more then happy, but there is no way to tell when or if they will fail or how.

Q 1 ) By cheeping out, will they thermal? Could have a meltdown in my pocket?
Q 2 ) So I created a new "batterystats.bin" file that matches them, how will that effect changing ROM's I like the ability to switch between "stock-ish" Midnight 4.0.3 and 4.1.x HTCCM10
Q 3) How come TWRP does not have a function to clear the "batterystats.bin" file. I assume it backs it up or does it? I think a cool function would be to have 2 to 3 backups of "batterystats.bin" so say if you put back in your stock battery you can switch back to it's profile, etc.

I ordered one of the gold 2450mah off eBay. I'm going to give it a try when it arrives after a few cycles.

A little update on my Laza battery. It appears the seller on ebay doesn't have them in stock, so I still don't have mine and the seller wont answer my messages. I have filed a claim with the resolution center. The seller is also starting to rack up negative feedback on ebay doing the same thing to others. The same seller on Amazon lists the battery at being in stock on the 26th, it was the 19th originally.

I have since ordered the Seidio 3000mah from Amazon and it has already shipped. So my advice for right now, is, avoid the seller for the Laza on ebay.

Are you talking about the Battery Monitor app? If so, under calibration you can manually enter the battery information and it will monitor from this starting point. I use it to track the status of 4 stock, 2 3500 Mah extended and a 3000 Mah extended, when you swap out batteries you have to tell the app which one is installed so that it can track it over time.

I have 3 different brand batteries I want to compare which is better without me doing the math. Is this a good app to use? Just trying to figure out which one lasts longer?

Yeah, it'll work for that. I number my batteries with a sharpie and after booting just tell the app which one is installed so that it can track it. It can show you if a battery is starting to lose capacity because of aging or whether a 3rd party one is optimistically rated.

Thanks. Can you tell me the name of the app exactly and who makes it? There are quite a few in the play store with the battery monitor name

I personally use Battery Monitor Widget Pro by 3C, with all the batteries that I have it's perfect for my needs so I bought the pro version to support the dev, the free version works quite well also.

I'm trying the free version. There are so many numbers and abbreviations that I have no idea what I'm looking at. Anything I should tweak or numbers that I should really be looking at closely to see which is a better battery?

Like I said, make sure that you select the current battery that you're using under calibration and set the capacity to whatever is marked on the battery. Stock is 1750 and I have extended that are 3000 and 3500. It'll take at least a week of charge/discharge cycles before you can draw any conclusions. I have an external charger plus my dock has a battery slot so I don't charge in my phone very often.

Stock is 1730 if 20mah matter.

If you go to Settings/Calibration there is a "Battery Capacity (mAh)" you enter there. Also, if you touch the "Calibration" icon you enter capacity for each battery you have under batteries tab. This tab gives you numbers for Original, In-use, and measured.

My question is what is the difference between the 2 places you enter mAh information and what do I enter? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
