Root [ROM] EVO V 4G Stock ROM Deodex/Odex

I just downgraded Hboot to version 1.5. After looking around, I found out that this rom is not compatible with this version of Hboot. Is there a way around this? I really want to go back to stock (I'm on midnight Jellybean) but have no idea how to upgrade my Hboot. All help is really appreciated
Flashing a stock ROM does not affect your S-OFF status. You can still flash the 1.57 stock or JBear 1.57.5757 hboot via fastboot or a PG86IMG.zip file. Either will allow you to boot the stock ROM.

So is there somewhere in some forum a link to where to download Hboot 1.57? The Jellybean Rom was cool, but I would prefer to go back to stock. I think I know how to upgrade Hboot because it's just like downgrading but with a different file.

Edit: I found the Hboot 1.57.00000 and used it to flash, but with TWRP 2 after flashing it gets stuck on the Virgin Mobile red screen? Should I try flashing Hboot 1.57.5757 or is there something else I'm doing wrong? As of now, I can't use my phone.

I would hate to beat a dead horse here, but i'm having trouble acquiring the deodexed version of this rom. The links provided (the working ones) take me to a site much like a directory of files. On this view I know im looking for two files one odexed one deodexed. When I go to the link neither of these appear under any of the "folders" so perhaps I am asking for either a working download link, or an experienced to slap this noob with some knowledge right across the face either or I would really like this rom.

I realize this is an older thread so please forgive for bringing up a question here.

I followed the "Complete Newbie's Guide to rooting and flashing Evo V 4G ROMs/Kernels using fastboot" and managed to get the odex version and rooted. I'm now looking at installing Google Now and it needs a deoxed rom. Can I clear cache and dalvik cache and flash over the odex version with the deoxed or do I need to wipe data and start from scratch? I just got everything set up and I guess I'm looking for a short cut to changing to the deodexed version so I don't have to set everything up again.

You need to full wipe or the odex files will remain I believe. I think you can make a nandroid backup. After full wipe and flash of de-odexed i think you can restore the data partition to gain your stuff back. Someone correct me if im wrong on this

I have been on midnight rom JB and want to return to stock, so I understand that this is the correct rom. When I wiped everything and flashed the odexed version of this rom, I was bootlooping. It would go to the htc screen, turn black, then go back to the HTC screen indefinitely. What do I need to do to be able to flash this rom and use it?

I really appreciate the help in advance!!

You have to change your hboot back to 1.57 or the jbear modded 1.57.57, then wipe cache/dalvik and then flash the rom after wiping everything but your sd card. Be aware that if your doing this to take the ota it will put you on the 1.58 hboot which some have reported problems with so you should probably avoid it at this point.

That phone came stock with the 1.57 bootloader, the 1.04 is an engineering bootloader that was never put on shipped devices so you definitely changed it at some point. Jelly Bean won't run on the stock bootloader and stock won't work on the current one.
