Quick question, I git my phone out of test mode but I couldn't get the DLL to register. Would metro be able to add all that info by any chance.

You can enter the info manually by doing ##626* and then enter your SPC #. You can go into one of the menus that opens up and enter in all the info. Once you do that you would reset your PRL by doing *228 option 5.

Ok so i got the phone out of test mode. Got the info back on and everything. Went to switch my service back to the phone but i have no bars. So no calls or text. Just data. An i know its out of test mode. So the guy at a metro outlet said take it to corporatestore and see if they can fix it. The corporate store says theres a update they were gonna do but they factoryreset my phone first an saw clockworkmod. From there they said they wont touch it....so i no longer have my esteem.

At the step where you register VS910:

The module "C\LG Electronics\LGNPST\Models\VS910.dll" failed to load.

Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.

The specified module could not be found.

It wouldn't register, so I went to that forum and used Command Prompt, but I get this message. (Also, the first time I tried to install LGNPST_Components_Ver_5_0_12_0 it didn't work. I tried again, and it did). Would you help me pretty please?

You can also try removing clockworkmod recovery then un-rooting and then going to another Metro store to get it fixed.

It's something on your PC. Make sure all firewalls are off as well as anti virus programs. Sometimes certain programs just being installed will mess things up. Your best bet is to make sure nothing is running when trying to install everything. Aside from that, I can't offer anything because it's a PC issue and I have no clue as to how your PC is set up or what's on it. Sorry.

I guess I should have asked for help yesterday. here we go, so the issue I face is searching for service. 4g internet works but text and talk stopped working yesterday morning. So im at the point where you select file under lgpst - vs910.dll loads *i assume* and when i click on the Unknown com6 status stand by yellow bar the * phone setting button does not light up at all. So what do I do now?. I have the spc and all the #s but I cant get the lgpst phone setting button to light up. 2nd day without service man im really upset with metropcs.

update: just came from the metro store deleted my shit and set it to factory. everything is resolved.

So you Clicked in the yellow portion of LGNPST and see if it enables?

Is that the same LGNPST as I offered in my download links? It looks different.

If i can please get some help here, i have re-read the instructions multiple times. before i attempted getting my esteem out of test mode i did have service but the programming would not work. so i did the test mode fix. after i did that i used lgnpst and installed all the drivers and followed you instructions as stated and used 3031.prl as my prl(yes metro pcs prl). now i'm still not getting any service. under about phone on the phone it says unknown for Phone,MIN and PRL Version. Please Help

Same thing happen to me, got it out of the test mode. And from there, went to the Corporate store with what I thought was and unrooted phone. Sure enough, guy come back with my phone in clockworkmod and said's That he couldn't help me. Went home and got LGNPST to install ZVB. From there I updated to ZVD from LG Moblity Support tool. Went back to same store differant guy. Guy look's at my phone and saids, "this is an easy fix, will take about 45 minutes". I asked what happen, he saids "it an update to take out rooted phones. Some unrooted phone are getting the hit too", His words exactly.

45 minutes later, he hands me a working factory resetted phone.
Didn't cost me a dime.

P.S.
The first guy I went to, is give me this dirty look. He wanted to charge me $15.00 dollars if he could have gotten the fix to work. Something funny going on there because, the other guy acted like it was a fix that they do for free and they do it often.

This is the second time this has happened and i've had this esteem for about a year (hint for lg developers researching why all esteems randomly switch to test mode after a year of use). First time, i didn't have 4g or anything thou and don't remember what caused it. Ran around like a chicken with my head cut off for a week before making it to a corporate store and they fixed it for me after about 45-hour. But this time my phone froze and i pulled the battery. Then after reboot it happened and this time i have 4g (no bars thou).

My wifes phone just got into test mode after it froze while in the gallery.I have tried to run the lg test mode repair exe but it crashes before it even loads.I got lgnpst already installed.I cant get it out of test mode,I downgraded from zvd to zvb using the lgnpst software and did a factory reset.The phone is still in test mode,might have to stop by a metropcs store.any help appreciated.

Also im Windows xp sp3

You are using the correct COM port right?

If so I suggest using the downgrade guide and downgrade your phone. Then use the LG tool to upgrade your phone so you are dealing with a 100% bone stock factory phone. This way there is nothing interfering with the process.

Yeah some people have issues opening the test mode fix. All I can say is it's something on your PC thats preventing it. Make sure the framework is up to date and make sure NOTHING is running in the background. No programs, anti virus, firewalls, etc..... Even a dvd burning program can cause issues with other programs, just using an example as I've seen it several times.

That's all I can really say. I know people have used it successfully on XP through 7 so just make sure everything is up to date on your machine.

I am re upping all the files to my dev host account to ensure that they are not corrupted. Please download all the files again and re install them. I am also including an UN ZIPPED version of the test mode fix for some of you to try that are having problems getting test mode to work.

Thanks fuzzy for trying to help,I stopped EVERY background program or software that might be causing interference with it but still closes.The exe fc after opening..........thanks for your help.

Make sure you have Dotnet 3.5 Framework installed on your machine. That's the only other thing I can think of.
