Hello, I was having problems with my Droid X(restarting randomly, shutting down randomly, music playing randomly) so I sent out for a replacement one. the replacement one is still acting up -_- but that's another story. Before I moved the SD Card, I moved all my apps from phone storage to the SD Card in hopes that when I moved the card the apps would pop up on my replacement phone-- didn't happen. But when I re-downloaded the apps they saved to my SD Card. My Sd Card is now full and i can't take pics or dl music and when I try to move the apps back to phone storage it won't even give me that option. Any help? Would rooting give me control over that?

Welcome to Af. :hello:

I don't have your phone but this should work go to settings -storage and there should be an option to format external sd-card (not internal). This will wipe your sd card ( and it takes along time to do it).

IF NOT

If you have an micro sd-card reader or adapter you can pull the micro sd card out put it into the reader and plug it into your pc. Then find it in windows explorer (should be drive D: E: or some other letter from the alphabet but not C)right click on it and select format, select fat32 option (quick format is ok) then click ok. When it is done put it back in your phone and it will be empty.
