Buy Note 2 now??? Or....

Should I buy a Note 2 (on Verizon) now or wait until the Note 3 comes? Rumor has the Note 3 being released by the end of this month.....but how long does it take to get the Note 3 to the U.S. on Verizon? Almost a year like the Note 2?

I think you should wait for the Note 4 because you won't be satisfied that you bought the Note 3 because the Note 4 will have better specs......:banghead::p

In all honesty, buying an android phone can be annoying with new and possibly better phones coming out monthly/bi-monthly. My advice is to set your sights on a specific phone and stick to it otherwise you'll go nuts if the next best thing is around the corner.

From all the rumors the note 3 should be "announced" at mwc and them the release is usually within one month....in Europe. We won't see it in the US until October/November most likely. So I think the Note 2 is most likely the way to go. The phone sounds awesome.or I could wait for the note 10?

I'm a Verizon user as well and here's what I will say;
When the Note II came out I was actually due up for an upgrade but I felt the price was simply too much... $300 for a phone, without counting the $30.00 data mo/...it's a lot.

Now that I found a good deal on the price, I would say you should upgrade now.

I mean if you really don't mind waiting potentially 3-6 months for a phone and paying $300 for a new phone, then go for it...But the second these new phones come out (like the Note III), work on a new phone will begin (the Note IV). It's really tough to keep on top of that game economically, and therefore I subscribe to the philosophy, "buy what you can now at the best price that's most conducive to you."

And just in case you were wondering - the Note II is priced excellent at Amazon:
- $150 in Gray for a new subscriber to VZW (w/ 2 year deal)
- $190 in Gray for a renewed 2 year deal w/ VZW (w/ 2 year deal)
- $200 in white for a renewed 2 year deal w/ VZW (w/ 2 year deal).

I thought I'd pass the information on!

I am debating this myself. I want to buy a Note (unsubsidized) when my iPhone contract is up in April. But if it's true that the Note 3 will have a 6.3" screen I may want to switch to that when it comes out. I don't want to pay $600+ in April and again in November... so I may end up buying a used Note1 to tide me over.

N2 now IMHO. Trying to play the wait on the new one routine is a never ending battle that will just frustrate you so when there is something available that has proven to be the best ever (N2) then go for it. First generations of totally new concepts and technology (droidX for example) are usually full of problems and quickly become obsolete but future releases after the second are not earth shaking for a while. Those are just my thoughts based on personal experience.

I'm glad that I chose not to wait. I'm six weeks in and still in love with this phone. No phone envy for anything else at the moment, and I think any larger may be too large for ME. This is the perfect size. Unless the Note 3 has amazing features that the Note 2 doesn't, I think this will easily keep me happy for 2 years. Though I do have an upgrade available on the other line if something comes along that wows me before then.

Note 2 all the way. It is an awesome phone. The only thing I would say is GET A CASE! I am one of those people who dont like cases. I always just slipped phones into my pocket. One drop and the screen on this phone is cracked straight through the center. It is my fault entirely, I will admit, but the screens crack very easily.
