Another thread thought from another thread - i'm good for that ;)

anyway, I JUST did this, and we were talking about it on another thread, so I thought i would ask... how many times do you install an app, just to use it for five minutes (or less) and delete it right back out? I am finding I like the free apps, or the trial versions because i can try them until i find the one i like. I tried 3 launchers before i found the one I could use. I am trying assistants now, but not sure i am going to end up with one at all.
I just learned about orphan files, which apparently I am causing on my phone by doing this. now i have to figure out how to un-do it without breaking anything!

Fairly often. Sometimes I try an app but decide it doesn't suit me. Sometimes I try a few apps of the same sort, perhaps for minutes or perhaps for weeks until I notice which one(s) I actually use.Sometimes I install an app temporarily to investigate a problem someone here is having, and remove it afterwards.

I do make a point of clearing an app's data before uninstalling it (which may be unnecessary - I should experiment really). But some do leave stuff on my sd card, which I just have to clean manually when I can be bothered.
