I think your question has been answered, ff. I dont think anyone is sure why your phone is getting hot. If youve had a rom installed before, that didnt get hot, id go back to that if i were you. It shouldnt get hot like that.

What you can do in the meantime is try doing some troubleshooting. Try out other roms and see if ur still getting hot on those.

It could be a bad download? It could be a bad flash? It could be a bad battery? It could be a bad phone? It could be how you use the phone? It could be that your mutant powers are kicking in. Point is, I dont know.

Once the next update is ready you can try it again and see if its still happening. Untill then, stay calm, chive on.

Sometimes when no one acknowledge the same symptons its safe to assume your the only one having that issue and if your the only one having that issue then the problem is a simple user mistake. please don't take your frusteration out on the forum. we cant guarantee always a solution for your problems sometimes members are encouraged to troubleshoot the best they can. i hope you understand.

My suggestion flash 1.0.3 then from there flash 1.0.5 if that dosn't help im sorry i couldn't be more of a help.

Been rocking metropolis the last couple of days has anyone noticed battery draining at a faster pace than other roms I don't turn off sync or anything like that just lowered screen brightness a little maybe that's the culprit any input from anyone using metropolis

Yeah, I have noticed it too. But not too much. I do turn off my sync though. Even going in & deleting a bunch of stock apks, I still have a slight faster drain.

Shouldnt drain any faster than stock fellas. In fact id say its better than stock once you debloat a bit. Remember, this rom, like stock, hasnt been optimised like CM and such. Apples to oranges to compare them to this.

In fact if you look into it youll notice that AOKP AND CM have about half the apps that stock does. Thats about 100 apps in those and about 200 apps in this and stock. More apps that run automatically and that equals faster drain.

If you like, you can try an app like Pimp My Rom from the playstore. It installs scripts and tweaks that are supposed to help. Results may vary.

Even that will only bring marginal results in battery life.

I dont know of any magic bullets for battery life.

yea they have teh palm hacks for around 20 or so bucks and you cna do it but you lose nfc or gps. im hopeing the qi stuff takes off more so there can be cheaper ones sold (right now its about 70 bucks to get qi wireless charging for your sgs3). as i imagine going forward its gunna be more and more common in phones

Yea i saw the cover hack. Im just not brave enough. Also saw the verizon case and charging pad but its 10 bucks more than the one above.

I like that its not a case or some extra clip addon and that as per the vid, you can use it with a case without issue.

Can anyone help me on the steps on how to install this rom because i D/L 1.0.5, it should be the same installing CM & AOKP and i tryed flashing it and it said failed . Did the 9 yards wipe This wipe that. And good to go.

Hii I recently just installed this rom but I keep on gettin the base as 4.1.1 instead of 4.1.2 any suggestions? ??

Btw I installed metropolis version 1.5

So pretty much its the same stuff wipe del, wipe cache, factory ....
and thats it.. and just flash right?

Ok i flashed it with out system wipe and it said sucessful and then it got stuck on load sgs3 screen.
Back to stock root.
Please tell me what im doing wrong

1 Factory reset
2 Flash v105
3 reboot (first boot can take a while)

I remember that once i ended up with a bootloop. I pulled the battery and let it reboot normally and it was fine.

If its still not booting for you, id say download the rom again another way. If you used ur phone to download before, use a pc next.

Some users say flashing 103 first helps. You can try that too. Ive never had to do that tho.

Lastly we are all glad to help out with issues but all this has been covered many times. Please read thru the posts.

Does Pimp My Rom really work. Did some checking out, & it seems a lil far fetched. I mean, if it's so good why aren't more people praising it?

I may be wrong but i believe all it does is install the same scripts and tweaks that are already floating around out there but may be difficult perhaps to install or setup. It installs and sets them up for you. I believe they are the same that many devs use in their roms. I wouldnt go using Pimp for say, CM as it already has many tweaks and mixing them probably wont give you good results. But for stock roms it might help. I also wouldnt go and install ALL of the tweaks and scripts Pimp offers. I think some just arent needed anymore with our new phones and some i just dont understand what they do. You can pick and choose what to install.

It wasnt always a play store app. Used to be a flashable Aroma installer, now i believe they have both. You have nothing to loose trying it.

dont worry next version will handle all of that

i keep telling everyone the script will handle the install and dont worry about wiping anything unless you want to after. next version is gunna be a real shock for people who wipe system

No im sorry treemane, all themes are for 104 only at this time. Waiting for 106 and working on other things. I have a copy of Metropolitan for 105 if you like.
