When a non metro phone is flashed to metropcs. 4G and mms don't work. maybe for the same reason is also true for cm10.

The sim card is the culprit.

Data and MMS not working on MetroFLASHed phones doesn't have anything to do with the UICC card, other than being specific to LTE data. That's why the guys working on the Motion CM10 right now are able to get 1x and intermittent 3G connections even though 4G is a no-go. FYI, you have to write new NV items with QPST or CDMA-WS, put the right APNs back in, and separately add a proxy setting for MMS on a non-Metro phone that's been MetroFLASHed. I know this for a fact because I did it last year with my HTC Droid Incredible.

When MetroPCS flashed phones (a service they no longer offer), Houdini would only write the specifics needed to get talk and text to work. Getting data (and subsequently MMS) is not something they were concerned with. In fact, a corporate store told me they "could not" (read: refused to) MetroFLASH a smartphone "because it can only get talk and text." A crock of course, because the website at the time had specific phones listed, and my phone was on it, and I got data and MMS working myself with instructions from an online guide.

What's up Toke! Been busy as usual with running things at UPP myself, and you?

I don't think an attempt to do what you asked would make any real difference, because without all the proper pieces being there in the first place, you're still going to have the same problems. However, you could always try at least some of the steps in a guide I posted that worked for getting data and MMS going on my Incredible:

[GUIDE] HTC Droid Incredible Fully Flashed To MetroPCS

Now the QPST part may not be doable because dialer codes usually don't work with AOSP ROMs, but you can definitely try from Step 19 to see if that gets MMS working (assuming they haven't fixed that already). Be sure to read the second post in the thread, as it applies to ICS and JB specifically.

You know where we're at, bro, don't be a stranger!

I can't log in to upp! Or reset my password.
I think it mails to a typo email or something.

I been mad busy starting a local music promo and event npo search Facebook for "H a H O Promotions". Writing and releasing my own 12 track album old school style. I'm forgoing the studio in favor of a live, super grungy, direct from the soundboard to a cassette (only way to get that sound) style.
On top of that is the arborist business with my father...

So I'm pretty swamped. Had a chill week or two so I been playing with my phone.

Would you mind sharing how you got Joyn to work on 1x? I remember I tried on the stock ROM, and got some 'could not connect' message.

Does it allow you to do the itinial connection, and message over 1x?

Just be on WiFi, then open it up, after a little it will say something like "you must disconnect from WiFi to continue". Press OK. It should close the app. At this point, you can disable WiFi and turn on your 1x/3G then open up Joyn and let it do its magic :)
