Root [ROM] Official Evervolv | 3.2.0a1 [AOSP 4.2.1]

I've figured out the problem. Android only reads from apns-conf.xml on first bootup. MMS should work with fresh installs of the next nightly under any carrier. For the rest of you, you need to flash Travisholt's zip above and reset APNs to default:

1. Open Voice Dialer
2. Say "Open APNs"
3. Tap "Open APNs"
4. Press the Menu button
5. Tap "Reset to default"

If this still does not work, you'll have to enter the settings manually.

1. Follow steps 1-4 above
5. Tap "New APN"
6. Enter APN Settings (Found Below)
7. Press Menu
8. Tap "Save"
9. Press the radio (circular) button next to your APN

Any setting not listed should be left at the default value.

Sprint

Boost Mobile

U.S. Cellular

For those of you who are curious, this is the change that fixed MMS. Simple, eh?

i'm still having troubles with MMS after trying both methods, and I've tried multiple texting apps as well. when I get the notification that an MMS is being received, it just doesn't show up and flashes in the notification bar. any idea how I'd remedy this? thanks in advance!

I am still using the nightly from Feb 7, should I update? Was any changes made?
There have been a few changes, nothing that I would say warrants downloading and flashing a new version. Nothing specific for our device in the changelog either, so our current bugs are still there.
The biggest thing I noticed was something about not suspending when taken off charge. Not anything special, but also probably not anything that would break anything if you just want to test the new nightly.

I personally don't plan on updating anytime soon, but that's just because I'm in a lazy mood and nothing major had been changed.

I got a tomtom, so I don't need my phone for gps anymore, so I decided to try Evervolv as a daily driver. I flashed the nightly from the 11th and it runs nicely, in spite of the occasional crash. Battery life is better too, even when surfing the web in a near dead zone.

However, it seems that this rom will not charge in my car. I use a dc to ac adapter. The battery and lockscreen say it's charging, but the battery level does not change(the charging led does not light) . It did charge at my house last night though. I don't know if something bugged up and charging broke, or it can't handle charging at a slightly lower voltage. And charging does work with my inverter and phone when on heavenly divine or AOSenseP

which is the best nightly for Boost? I don't want to screw up my brand new phone.... and does Google Now work with said build?

The 11th is the newest I tried. Gps is broken, along with mms. Systemui crashes randomly (may have something to do with screen rotation) and the phone crashes and reboots randomly.

However, Google now and voice actions seem to work for the most part. It crashes when you ask it to identify a song or you use the camera search. I didn't do much with Google Now itself, since there isn't much for me.

So if you can stand no mms or gps, and random crashes, the rom is great. I use it

I'll wait until MMS and camcorder are working but I tested it, and I like what I see.

Hey, I'm new on this forum, but I've been running this ROM on my girlfriend's EVO Design 4G on Sprint. She started having the random reboots and crashes, so I checked in the Performance settings and it appeared to be overclocking her phone to 2GHz. I set it back to max of 1200MHz and no crashes or reboots. Not sure if this applies to anyone else, as I had installed a couple other things on her phone, but it's worth looking into if you're experiencing reboots.

I've noticed that this processor doesn't like to be clocked faster than 1804 for any real length of time.
It'll go to 2GHz, and run fine for a bit, but will reboot often the longer you leave it there.

I recognize that this ROM uses it's own kernel, and optimism is a good thing, but I think plenty of people have shown that 1804 is the max STABLE speed for this processor.
