I could be wrong but I thought eg30 was a gingerbread modem.

In any case, FL26 is the latest ics vm modem. You can flash modems without having to re flash the main rom.

I'm running the JB FL14 modem and I'm well aware I can flash modems without flashing the rom.

I am curious as to why people are using the ICS/GB modems on a JB rom. Been running FL14 without any issue what-so-ever; everything works as intended aside from the already known bugs!

So your using the FL14 Modem on this CM10.1 ROM and having no issues? 3g works? MMS sends?

EDIT: I also noticed that I couldn't send texts and people can't send me texts or calls either. It seems like the radio is turning off or something, but the weird thing is I still get data...

Its acting like the call was never active, so it couldn't hang it up. WHy does the number show unknown? What exactly were you doing whenever this happened? Trying to call voice mail or a regular number? Give me some details on the events and I can maybe dig a little deeper into this!

I'm running the JB FL14 modem and I'm well aware I can flash modems without flashing the rom.

I am curious as to why people are using the ICS/GB modems on a JB rom. Been running FL14 without any issue what-so-ever; everything works as intended aside from the already known bugs!

Op said use ics modem in the instructions so I did.

How is your mms working? (read up in the thread for issues some are seeing)

Update: I just tried the FL14 JB modem. It didn't help with the mms issue, and broke my 3G. Back to FL26 ICS Modem.

Update 2: I turned off MMS auto retrieve in both handcent and the stock messaging app. Now MMS comes with a "Download" button. Clicking download in handcent crashes the app, but clicking download in the stock messaging app downloads it successfully along with displaying it right there in the app. Friggin oddball. Now if I could just get the stock messaging app to resize pictures when it needs to...

It happens randomly. I pick up the phone after a while and select someone through t9 dialer. It says dialing but the counter never starts do I press the hangup button and nothing happens. I look at the notifications and that notification is there. Even tried force closing dialer and the notification disappears but the when I try to dial another number the notification reappears. :thinking: only data works and there is no data icon at the top right.

Here is a logcat from when I was trying to connect with my bluetooth earpiece. The voice dialer just hangs when I try to connect. I have to turn off my earpiece to get out of it but then the whole phone is slow. I then have to reboot and the phone is fine again. Just some info to look at when you have time.

Good question. There was a setting in CM7. I just dug through all the CM10 settings and I can't find one for it.

Update: The CM team did not port the option from CM9 to CM10. They also removed the effect on screen on(you will notice it only occurs on the screen off action). There is a developer option "hack" that disables it in CM10, but it is not effective for whatever reason in 10.1. Numerous people have requested the CM team remove the effect altogether. We will see what happens in coming builds.

I was on FJ12 and to install I flashed the FL26 modem first. Then I wiped cache/data/system etc. Flash CM 10 and gapps. MMS isn't working. Haven't tried other texting apps yet.

Is it possible for me to install the Stock ICS Messaging app for this ROM? I liked it much better.

EDIT: A problem that I have encountered, which kind of bothers me, is that when I swipe the screen in the app drawer or my home screen, it doesn't recognize it as a swipe to the next screen. I have to like touch the corner of the screen and swipe 3/4 of the screen.

Update: I just tried the FL14 JB modem. It didn't help with the mms issue, and broke my 3G. Back to FL26 ICS Modem.

Update 2: I turned off MMS auto retrieve in both handcent and the stock messaging app. Now MMS comes with a "Download" button. Clicking download in handcent crashes the app, but clicking download in the stock messaging app downloads it successfully along with displaying it right there in the app. Friggin oddball. Now if I could just get the stock messaging app to resize pictures when it needs to...

I turned OFF auto retrieve in Handcent but turned auto retrieve ON in stock messaging app. This combination works perfectly for me. Pictures show up automatically in Handcent this way. No problems :)

Hand cent was wonky and kept crashing when it tried to resize pics. Go was the only one that worked all around for me. Hopefully the core issue will be fixed in an update at some point :)
