Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

Hm, I feel like an idiot here...not sure what's up but for some reason I cannot get my phone to just vibrate... I go into settings - volume - select vibrate, select the mode (select vibrate there)... select vibrate on ringer status etc....(if I don't touch the volume keys after selecting vibrate mode then it'll do fine, when I do up the ringer and try to go down on volume back to vibrate, can't find it, just goes to silent) I actually don't even need a silent mode with no vibrate but I cannot get back to where on the volume up/down keys if I press down volume all the way I cannot get to vibrate mode, only silent mode. Anyone else having this issue? I'm sure it's simple to get back to the right mode I've been using but man, can't figure it out.....
Try Sound modes under the Widget Buttons settings screen

So I got a replacement phone yesterday and I activated it, then flashed this ROM. With this ROM whenever I answer/send a phone call the phone reboots. I've tried reflashing a few times and it still does it. I've flashed back to stock and calling works fine. Any ideas why?

Try waiting for a later release. I am still on CM7 on my personal phone.
The DEV phone is running CM9 with a navigation drawer. If it wasn't cusomizable I would say it's stupid. And it has no service.

Okay. The stock ROM is so painful lol, luckily I just picked up a Nexus 7 so I don't have to use my phone for anything but calls.

I posted a new tester on the site. This one I would like some feedback on.

What I did was
  1. Added /hidden and /hidden/data partitions to the system like VM did
  2. Changed the build naming scheme
  3. Moved the Phone.apk to /hidden
The last one is the main reason I want people to test it out. I run CM7 on my phone all day long and even though it works on the DEV phone (no service), that doesn't mean it fully works. That, and I can easily miss stuff.

I'm a programmer. I am fluent in AppleScript, C, C#, C++, BASIC, and Java. However, I'm not about to go to town testing things on my personal phone. I'll have to check out ebay/craigslist and see if I can pick up a cheap testing phone.

You can do a nandroid backup which will enable you to get back to a working phone within a couple minutes. Using my own phone has only been a minor annoyance.

Has that been fixed yet on that build?

He hasn't posted anything else about that build so I don't know.

Anybody that's a mechanic know what it is to turn 50 hours in 3 days. I have been busy.

As far as the next build, I was planning to try something other than the Phone.apk, as that's too important to mess with further. The main concept of moving things to /hidden did work and I hope I can find some stuff that will work. Things I can test.

I know how that can be cause my dad was one and I got friends that are mechanics. So I feel for you man.I was just asking cause when I saw the update on the WIP Camera link the guy was using CM9 2-17 that he worked on and I only saw 2-18 in the MTDEV page....that's why I asked. But anywys you know me I am EXTREMELY grateful for EVERYTHING that the DEV team does and comes out with.I wish I could help more than just being a test dummie lol.

Do a quote and you will see how BB code is used. It's like html
Code:
[IMG](the link)[/IMG]
Basicly you open the tag with the square braces [
put in the tag typ in capital letters IMG
and close the brace
to start the open tag
after the link is in there you close the tag like I showed with the forward slash. /
