That Poetic Slimline case is total crap! The cover is messed up and won't stay flat.

Tried on my tablet and it damaged N7 bezel. It a small but deep scratch not that big of deal but still case should protect not put marks on it.

Wow dude, sorry to hear that! I don't have the issues you do. Mine fits great and my grouper has not a scratch on it after several drops.
I hope you can still return it, it looks like a defective one.
The cover wont cover the front perfectly lined up all the time, but that is due to a change in the manufacturing that customers asked for to allow the cover to fold flat against the back.
The not closing all the way, and the mark left by the case are total defects and they ought to take it back. Poetic has been trying really hard to make their customers happy with this case (as opposed to some manufacturers that don't take customer feedback into account). Hopefully they will work with you.

EDIT:
What's up with the last picture not matching the one two-back? You say it doesn't close all the way, and that last pic looks like you're trying to illustrate that, but two photos above that the same und of the device has it closed all the way?

Last picture shows what happens when i try to straighten bottom part to upper part. Well it doesn't matter.. I wrote them they should send me a replacement or similar case... I don't really wanna deal with return. They usually don't ask to send defective unit back.

Though I do really like mine, and I usually buy a backup for this kind of thing when I really like it (it WILL die eventually), I have considered getting the Nilkin which looks almost identical, but real leather.

the only thing with it, is I hear delivery time can be up to 3 months :thinking:

and I haven't seen any documentation in english that says it has the sleep/ wake magnet.

Use your head. That will just get me 20 links to cases that are slim OR cheap. I need something more qualitative. Which is why I am asking for experience. Not a slew of links.

Agreed, the cover is awful. It won't stay flat once used as a stand for some time.

Man, I feel bad for you two. My poetic lies flat even after using as a stand, and hasn't caused a single mark on my nexus. If anything, it has saved many. I've dropped my grouper half a dozen times on hard wood and pavement, and even the case still looks good.

I would love to hear someone that has experience with the nilkin version chime in.

Just chiming in about the case I pointed to above. This is a pretty nice little cover. It has a wake-lock magnet and comes with a stylus too. It had a very snug snap in fit but that's probably a good thing as cases tend to loosen up over time. I didn't have any of the popping off of one corner issues that other reviewers seemed to complain about. This thing is pretty decent quality and would be well worth $20. It has some soft material inside the shell and under the flap cover to keep from scratches. I wish it had 2 positions to prop it up but that's no biggie. YRMV of course, but you really cant go wrong with this thing for how inexpensive it is.
