Help What's the best ANTIVIRUS for the NOTE 2?

Well, the Note 2 is an Android phone and Android is not likely to ever get a virus. You can, however, download bad apps from the Play Store that could contain malware, but this is probably unlikely as they check, but still possible. Just look at the app reviews, comments and permissions of an app and you'll be fine. If you want an antivirus then avast is a good one. :)

I use Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. Desktops, notebooks and Android devices. Covered in all fronts, but still need to practice common sense. For Android, I mainly have it up because I browse a lot to find information. Sometimes I accidentally hit a link by mistake as the search is still loading and input is not properly recognized. Then I get this big red page telling me site may be harmful, etc. I exit out and continue on my business. It also flags sites that have been known to be attacked/infected and gives a warning to the user.

Though it's quite useless if someone knows how to do a factory reset.

We would like to share our experience with ESET. Our team has developed an Android app which displays on the phone screen the device current location on a map. Several our customers complained that ESET pop-ups a notification that our app is dangerous. It was very strange and we check the app with other antiviruses like Avast, Kaspersky, AVG. Everything was fine, our app was working and we did not get any notifications from the antiviruses. However when we installed ESET it started to scream that our app is dangerous. We contacted ESET tech support and did not get answers on our questions.
We did a test to figure out ESET quality as an antivirus. It was easy to find a spyware app on Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.phone.track
ESET should catch it and notify us about the virus. However we did not get any notifications and the spyware app was installed successfully. ESET must catch it, but it did not!
From our experience ESET is real sucks and not an effective antivirus. We do not recommend to use it.
1. ESET does not catch real spyware.
2. It does notify users that regular apps are dangerous and users think this is a virus.
3. ESET customer support is awful. You will get automated replies and never get answers on your questions.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY ESET!

Don't forget that AVG Pro is free in Samsung Apps for Note 2 users.

Or is that just for the UK?

I used this originally, but noticed that whenever I made a call it would set my phone to vibrate mode. A bit of research online led me to the conclusion that it was AVG causing the issue. Since uninstalling I haven't had the problem. Just a FYI.

Shame because other than that it was really good. Never caught a virus but it did notify me that an app I downloaded from the Play Store had adware in it. Wasn't even some dodgy newly-uploaded app either, it was one of the editor's picks.....think it might have been Vintage Camera or one of those types of apps.
