Help How to prevent accidental removal of shortcuts?

I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 and sometimes let my young kids play games on my phone. Invariably, I get the phone back missing a widget or a shortcut. Obviously only the shortcut or app is deleting and can be put back rather simply (since it was not uninstalled) but besides being an annoyance, it's sometimes difficult to remember what was in that empty spot until you try to access it.

Is there a way to lock this down by restricting or turning off delete rights the way you can in an iphone?

Consider the " kid's place" launcher as well. It only allows access to the apps you choose. There is also "kytephone" which is a launcher designed for letting a child be able to make limited phone calls and texts and has gps tracking of the phone. I use nova prime and kid's place. Kid's place also re launches apps when a child closes it. My 2 year old can't resist the home button.
