Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Jellybean 4.1.2 OTA Has ARRIVED FINALLY!

I know Verizon used to do test ota to a few ppl to test... I had a droid 1 and got the a test ota update.. it bricked my phone and they gave me a dorid 2.. so this could be what happened with metropcs they might of done a test run and something bad happened..

Hello my friends. Need some help here to get ready for the (soon?) coming JB. Yesterday I caused my phone all kinds of issues by flashing the counter reset zip while on LJ3. I found out the hard day. Anyway Im back up and running again after doing a full odin to stock using the R530MVQALJ1.tar, then restoring a nandroid I had. But now what has happened is that when I connect to KIES I get the following error ""Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies. Current firmware version: PDA:LJ3 / PHONE:LJ1 / CSC:LJ3 (MTR)." I have never seen this before, usually I get the message that my current firmware is the most current. I am running rooted stock, and havent changed anything other than resetting to full stock to fix the issues I was having. So Im not sure why I am getting this error. Any ideas? :thinking:

LOL. Now it all makes sense. I asked them for help with my phone over 2 months ago. They kept telling that someone was going to be contacting me soon, then all contact stopped. All the JB questions caused them to not even be able to help with actual issues.

i realize alot of you guys are so anxious to get an update and the only reason i opened the thread was cause the same source that have been providing us with leaks was off about the update being already out ota. but since its only matter of time till its released please stay calm and respect each other especially staff members that have contributed more than their weight in gold in this forum. bottom line if ya really want the jellybean update right now just flash the metropolis rom 1.0.5 thats a leak of our official update just a engineer version of it.

i wish half of them were around on the original sgs. the epic 4g launched aug 31st 2010, we were promised froyo by teh years end (we launched with 2.1 a few months before 2.3 came out. it wasnt til march 2011 that we got 2.2, we didnt get 2.3 until the day ICS was announced and put out (a full year after the phone came out plus some change). the epic 4g touch launched with GB (sprints sgs2 variant) and wasnt until 5 months later they got a leak of ics (from none other than myself

), fast forward 4 months and they finally got official ICS.

metropcs got the sgs3 a full 4 months after the big 4, sprint came out in june and got jellybean in nov tahst 6 months. metro got theirs in oct and if they push it out in feb it will be 4 months to get jellybean.

as far as im concerned the people crying on facebook dont know what waiting is. samsung is one of teh best companies in the business to do updates with, my motorola photon waited 8 months to get a update t hat locked my bootloader with teh promise of ics only to be told 5 months later sorry sucks to be you guys.

There are options available for jelly bean. I used metropolis for a bit but hate touchwiz. Back to BB7. I hate reading all this negativity. It will be here when it bees here.

Dame ish is getting serious I didn't even know all that was going on.... My brother works at a store and he said some of his coworkers are currently testing and should be out by months end... Funny thing is he showed one if his coworkers my phone with 1.0.5 on it to compare and Shabbys was snappier and no huge difference overall... But who knows.. Also wasn't their some foreign dude on FB that made a bad ass rom.... I think it was called............ METROPOLIS...

u sir should make a review on shabby's rom lol nd i believe only difference between shabbys rom and official is multi window according to pnut but overall theres always a devs true debloated jelly bean rom and thts shabbys metropolis=D

I'm not expecting anything soon, but only hoping.

Lulz, this reminds me of waiting for CM10 then 11 for the Esteem. Ahhhh .. memories .. and headaches.

I'm thinking about giving Metropolis a spin.

we dont know what the official update will have as it hasnt been made public yet. chances are the guys at the store are testing LL1 which is what 1.0.3 was based on.

I did the same thing. Swapped out keyboards as well. Had running great. Figured would wait for official jelly bean and see what the devs come up with. In the meantime I am rocking BB7 again.

i may just bump over to metropolis ROM because there are some touchwiz features that i miss like voice alarms and being able slide down the statusbar while playing game apps.

i read that you need to install 1.0.3 than 1.0.5.

Only way I got it working was to wipe cache and dalvic then install .3 then .5 THEN factory reset. Doing normal wiping before would result in failure. Just my two cents. Might be worthless info tho.
