Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Help..phone wont charge

I just tested my Theory I let the phone discharge completely when I went to charge it and it charged without issues so this proves that chemical rom must have this option disabled or the charging cycle is different if the battery is let to discharge completely I dont know who else is using chemical but this is a heads up not sure if people on goodness rom have had this issue but now you guys know.

rom bug ive troubleshooted it before. last case scenario if ya wanna always make sure its just a rom bug always revert back to stock and try to charge if it charges fine case solved if not time for a new charger.

but ive now tried 2 chargers that dont work..but i will buy a new charger to see if i can atleast have the usb for the computer..is there anyway to get back to stock without the usb..i dont have a backup on my phone

I had this problem with morph rom. I took the batery out of the phone plugged it up then put the battery in and before th battery logo would show up an disappear. I boot the phone in download mode. Let it sit for about a min. Then my phone would boot up and have a little charge on it. I booted in to twrp. And went back to stock. See if it works. http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?t=679779

i still have charge and i can get into download mode but my comptuter dosent recognize the usb or phone..i have no way to use odin

you never did a back up with recovery?........woow thats the first thing u should of done buddy! man if i were u i would use odin and stock tar to revert back to bone stock i bet ya $5 your charging prob will be resolved once on stock

i mean a stock backup..like out the box..i have only custom backups..i obviously have a nv backup..but idk how to get back to stock without being able to use the usb

i guess the nv backup is the stock backup..but idk how to restore that

so u never did a backup of stock ics? if not do u have a back up of metropolis? if so revert back to that since its pretty much stock touch wiz and then try to see if it charges on that rom.

it was backed up long time ago..but ive since deleted it to make space for other roms..ive never flashed metropolis but i'll give it a shot now

its the mini usb port on the phone..i can kinda hold the usb up and it wont work..and down and it will work..im guessing my port is loose or damaged

Same issue with the samsung admire also, over time the ports will get loose and turn bad.

ive been wanting to switch to T-Mobile because of connection issues wit metro here in my city..this has just made my decision for me

lol..yea i know..same towers right..but the service is different isnt it..i work construction on a huge project right now in the middle of nowhere..and metro is the only provider not getting service out there..you see all the ppl wit metro phones at a specific area in the dirt using our phones at lunch..its comedy..its like that in a few areas..so even though there the same..the connection is still different right?..even in the building..all providers are pretty much getting 3g..sometimes 1x cause its pretty much the boonies..but metro gets nothing in there

That's interesting here in Florida metro signal is even better than Verizon at times but hey is all about location I'm lucky to be in Florida metros lte coverage here is amazing

im in fla too..but theres even some spots on a couple highways that connection completely drops for miles..am i right about metro and t-mobile having different service or coverage areas though?

Oh word what part? I'm on central florida Tampa area signal is steady unless I'm in the woods in the middle of the state that's understandable

im in east orlando..a mile from University of Central Florida..the service is good for the most part..i dont get dropped calls or anything..but just driving in some areas the connection is just gone for miles..u know florida and its highways through the middle of nowhere..the service just dissappears..and its really annoying..especially at work..thats 8 hours of my day that i basically dont have a phone
