You should be good to go for that, I never had any problems with it :)

Great, thanks!

Now to decide if I should use crussaders JB style reloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677032 or the aroma mods ls8 Dev-Host - XXLSJ_Aroma_Mods_v4.0.2.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

Thoughts or opinions?

Im downloading LSD right now.

Also, can I upgrade to the lasted philZ kernel "4.64 fixed for bootloop kernel" as well? The one with LSD is an older one, and allegedly the newer philZ kernel supports CRT off.

You can of course upgrade PhilZ to latest one but Siyah 6.0b5 also supports CRT off + go for Reloaded mod :) using it myself and very happy with it!

Well, I have read that Siyah 6.0b5 is still having issues. That's why I was leaning towards sticking with PhilZ until it gets hammered out.

Great news about the reloaded mod! I love the blue, and really want it. Are you on LSD too? If so, Im gonna pull the trigger!

I`am on LSD (too bad im not on real LSD ;) And using Siyah 6b5 since it came out without any issues. Only change i made is max cpu to 800 in stweaks. :)

oh? Well maybe people on XDA are a little too anal then, as I read a bunch of complaints/issues with it. But, it is good to know that you have no issues with LSD/Siyahv6b5/reloadedMod. :D

You are using this reloaded mod, correct?: LSD-MS1-LSE - Jelly Bean Style Reloaded 1.04 - AROMA

Did you lose 50mb of RAM? his camera fix stated that 50MB of RAM was gone.

Correct - this mod from 19/02 but it`s still same 1.04, just now works on MS1 & LSE and wasn`t even thinking bout this camera issue. Doesnt bother me tbh ;)

Alright. But what I cant figure out is why Siyah would be chosen when PhilZ doesn't have any problems? What is the rationale?

Also, when I flash the reloaded mod, should I do the other ones first? for instance, I want to flash the media mod from hawkerpaul to grenade all the thumbs and make it start fresh. Then, I will probably flash the mediascannerfix zip.

Do I do these before or after the reloaded flash?

THANKS for your help so far. I really appreciate it.

Im already on LSD, already created a backup, and am ready to flash the updated PhilZ kernel unless someone can tell me why this is a bad idear...;)

Main diffrence between Siyah and Philz is that first one allowes you to use STweaks where u have all sort of settings which u can leave at default or change them to what you like of course on your own responsibility ;)

When u flash reloaded there will be option to choose - Restore. Do it, then flash Reloaded again and choose options whichever u like or want there or not. After reboot u can install mediascannerfix etc...

ok, that makes more sense.

With the restore option, what is it restoring? If I haven't actually flashed it yet, why would it prompt for a restore? I guess I am a little unclear about that step. Once I understand that, Im ready to flash the mods!!

Did you ever used AROMA mods? Its one of options to choose. Flash it and u will see yourself and understand what i mean. It very simple so dont worry. Its restoring look to default JB (like after you flash ROM). Removes all mods u have installed. And u might be sure that when after reboot u flash Reloaded it will work as it should be :)

I just had that ahhhhhuhhhh moment. Yes, I did the alliance rom before, so I understand. I have flashed some fixes before, so I will definately restore to stock first before flashing it to my phone.

You are so smart, and so is everyone else on this forum.

And that pink theme.... wtf? I dont think Ill be trying that one hahaha

Im not sure what happened, but I installed the theme mod, and did the restore first.

Then went back in and installed the stuff I wanted. Rebooted, and the status bar was gone, the icons that were on the bottom were gone, Camera was gone, lockscreen setup was gone, wallpaper gone. I dont think this worked right. Is this normal?

Thank GOD for backups... restoring now. :)

EDIT:

With the backup, now my stock messaging app seems to be gone? WTH is going on? Also, I cant change my lockscreen picture with anything I want, only the stock wallpapers. Anyone know why?
