VZW Note 2 Signal Quality

I have a few questions. Since the Verizon Galaxy Note II has been out a while, what are the opinions on the radios? I had a Galaxy Nexus and the radios in it were the main reason I switched to the DNA. My wife is interested in the Note 2, but we are concerned about the radios and if she will experience the same problems that i had with the Nexus. Both are made by Samsung so I'm wondering are the radios any better?

One other question, does anyone besides me think the price of the Note 2 will drop after the S4 announcement on the 14th?

Thanks in advance!

I switched from the Droid Razr and as far as I can tell 3g, 4g and wifi is as good or better than the razr. Well to be honest I'm never in a weak wifi area so I cannot really confirm the quality of wifi; but the phone has no issues connecting to either my 2.4ghz or 5ghz router from the longest distance (in my apartment) but that distance is small; it also sees my neighbors routers but I can't really tell you how the wifi performs on fringe area.

4g seems more reliable than with the razr and one thing I really like about the note is that switching is much faster (with the razr if it lost 4g it was stuck on 3g for quite a while).

The DNA has a very good radio so I can't promise the note is better but it is very good (unlike the nexus which totally sucked). The contract price has been below $100 at various places; I doubt verizon stores will lower the contract (or off contract) prices until near the period that the note 3 is announced (or another 6-8 months -which ever comes first). I.e, I don't see them lowering the price with the announcement of the G4. Also the off-contract prices (one dislike I have for verizon) usually isn't lower until the phone is about to be discontinued.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for, she currently has the Razr so your comparison is dead on!!! thanks again!

I live out in the woods and am just barely within the range of a 4G tower. Woohoo!
That being said, my bedroom for whatever reason only gets 3G.

For phone calls, I still have the same 2 bars that my Droid X ever got and the call quality is almost exactly the same. I use a headset as I tend to pace when I talk and both X and the Note don't like that. Often the person on the other end says I cut out.

Sooo...I leave the note on the table and me and the headset to the walking around. That seems to work well.

I'm not unhappy that I seem to have the same reception quality as the Droid X had as it works for me.

Not sure if you can do what I did but before I purchased I had a friend with a Note 2 come over and put his through the same paces as my Droid X. It was the same with the exception of 4G capability. As it wasn't worse than the X I bought the Note.
