Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

I buy older generation (OG EVO, nexus s, gnex, ect) phones off of eBay where they sell cheaper than what I can sell them for on craigslist. I usually at least double up what I bought it for.

With the newest generation phones its the opposite. Buy on craigslist sell on eBay where there's more buyers. Not as good of margins=higher risk

But it comes from a good source. hmmm

Gotta like the overall dimensions of this as well, just marginally longer & wider than the SGS III, while coming in a bit thinner.

Just curious what additional functions/features this will have over the SGS III?
Whatever the final product is, I'm sure it'll be a winner, but, I think I'm gonna give HTC a try this go-around & pick up the ONE.

The SoLux rumor rears its head again. I doubted before and still do that a mysterious new display can be named after a trademarked lighting product. So that's just odd.

But it comes from a good source. hmmm

Not to mention a medical spa in Chicago..... ;)

Seriously, it's already shaping up to be quite an interesting year once again. So many top notch phones to choose from, not a bad one in the bunch

Is SoLux better or worse than amoled?

No idea if it even exists. The name is well-known - for indoor and automotive lights.

I saw an article today insisting that the SGS4 would definitely have a SAMOLED display and other rumors, principally around the flexible display tech, were wrong.

The SoLux rumor has sprung up and died before, weeks ago. In all that time, I've not found anything solid supporting that it exists or what it could be if it does.

Plus better or worse is a personal thing. Some LCDs surpass SAMOLED in outdoor brightness and usability as well as color accuracy. Yet many prefer the SAMOLED. I think a lot depends on tastes and preferences.

Plus the variations. I really can't stand any SGS3 screen I've seen, but I like the screens on the Note and Note 2 - all SAMOLED. Go figure, right?

I actually like the SGS III screen, as it was a huge improvement from my last phone (MOTOROLA PHOTON) except in one area, in which the PHOTON was much better outdoors.

As I'm not up to speed on the pros & cons of various screen types, how well do you expect the ONE to perform in that area?

Exactly like the SGS4 - no idea until I see it for myself.

Well the rumor mill is saying that the U.S. version of the S4 will have a Snapdragon 600 processor instead of the Exynos 5 and 2gb of RAM.

The international version will use the Exynos 5 but reports are conflicting. But this is what Samsung did with the S3, so who knows.

Again this is speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.

AFAIK, that was only done in US SGS3 models because the Exynos chipset wasn't ready to handle LTE. Personally, I see no reason why Sammy can't give everybody some Exynos 5 love. It doesn't matter to me whether it's the 5250, 5440, or the 5450. We should have one. I have nothing against Qualcomm and their awesome Snapdragon chipsets. I just want to try out an Exynos chipset for once.

A bit of non-Android news for the SPRINT faithful:

BlackBerry Z10 touch screen won't be offered by Sprint Nextel

The reviews I've read of the Z10 have been kind of a mixed bag so maybe Sprint didn't think it was worth offering both models. Of the few BB users I know, they really love that qwerty keyboard.

But if your're a BB fan on Sprint it's got to be disappointing you won't have a choice. Just seems Sprint is giving people who wanted a Z10 just another reason to jump ship.

A prime example of why all the U.S. carriers should have a BYOD system.
